Did they provide sources?
Seeing how fucked some of the experiments are, they could be ran by the same people.
Am I the only one who’s thinking of Aperture Science from reading this comment?
Every stable and in turn, vault, were run differently, usually as part of experiments. So while one may have been, others may have been less so. I do remember, in the beginning of PH, blackjack describes a stable suit as ‘not that smelly’ So while they may have been authoritarian to some degree, there is also a point of not caring among stable dwellers, or blackjack at least.
I never got into FoE, so I wouldn’t know.
@lightningscratch
I don’t know whether all people consider Project Horizons canon to the broader FoE universe, but didn’t Stable 99 have some pretty authoritarian policies? Though I take it Izzy here isn’t necessarily a resident of Stable 99.
Oops, on mobile. Did not mean to fat finger anon mode
Exactly. One man. 99 puppets.
And weird experiments. Vault Tec was full “I asked if we could, not should.”
Fallout isnt a dictatorship or anything like that. Even without much experience with it, if you go and watch the e3 for fallout 4, that it seemed my generation went abuzz about, one of the major things is charachter customizaton. If you step away from the videogames, and just go by lore, People were able to modify their armors as they see fit. Vault Tec isnt like the hunger games, or anything like, its a long dead corporation with secret bunkers full of people
That isn’t how Fallout works. Try the games, they’re quite good.
It’s just that if the Mockingjay series had Effie Trinket forced to style her hair in conformance with the rest of District 13, which was in a similar living situation for similar reasons, it may make sense for Vault-Tec/Stable-Tec to similarly forbid individual expression like this. Though if Fallout or FoE predates The Hunger Games, then I’m not necessarily surprised.

Not really. The item she has is literal junk and in New Vegas you can get a pimp-out Pip-Boy, so there are no rules against that.
I haven’t fully read any of the FoE stories or played any of the Fallout games, but my question is whether she’d be in trouble for violating any sorts of rules. What would the punishment be here?

Oh my gosh you are right!
None. She becomes the marechanist
