It rock if after her mark got taken she was transform to a demonic serpent with everyone seeing. Similar to the Serpent’s punishment for trikcing Adam and Eve to eating the Forbidden Fruit. The price she paid for her pride and greed.

Yeah well somepony would say everypony deserves a second chance even they done something horrible in the ancient past. Even somepony might change a villains heart if they first try. Of course, when Misty said she felt sorry for Opaline because she’s been alone for so long she felt a little conflicted about it.

I’m gonna be honest here, that I wish she could’ve been reformed, I mean both Sunny and Misty tried to get through of her. Like for example, Sunny tries to tell Opaline that she doesn’t had to be alone for so long and want to be friends with her in unity if she lets go of her power and domination she would’ve avoided this kind of fate of being sealed away within the together tree.
