Ahh yes, I dimly recall briefly having a pair of quad-skates… never did get the hang of moving around on wheels (a mate tried to teach me to skateboard too, and I rammed his dad’s shed multiple times with my cranium. xD)

Perms were on the way out, but 2x2 skates and newfangled rollerblades were da bomb. Duck and cover drills were still a thing in schools, but were more for tornadoes than Commie surprise attacks.
