I think I may have scared you too much. That wasn’t my intention, sorry. You don’t have to actually lose any sleep over this. You could have done it tomorrow or something. I had just woken up myself and was still groggy and annoyed when I noticed your uploads and saw that artists hadn’t been credited, and that grogginess and annoyance contributed too much to the first post I wrote.
I’m not even a mod, I can’t actually enforce the site rules. I can’t demand you to do anything. I can only point out rule violations and suggest things, but there’s not really much else I can do. I can report users to the mods for rule violations, but there realistically isn’t much the mods can do about them either. They can talk with the user, maybe try to get them to fix their uploads. Actual bans over these violations happen but I’m not sure how common they are.
Still, I’m amazed that you actually did track down the artists and fixed the tags. That is very rare. Usually, the uploader either does not respond at all, or they just say “I don’t know where I got the images” and continue uploading their images without artist tags. And then it’s us other users who have to find the original artists and images, and in many cases, we’ll never find them all.
Again, sorry for scaring you. And thank you, for actually sourcing those vectors and artists.
@JP
There I spent the past 3 hours fixing my mistake. I sourced every vector from the seven images and tagged the artist of the vectors as well as took my name out of them. Again I’m sorry, I honestly didn’t mean any ill intent and create this huge mess. I made my account today so I didn’t know how things worked, I just made it because I wanted to uploaded some stuff I made. I’m gonna step away from here for a bit because it’s 3 now and I need sleep and I feel awful for what I did and don’t want to cause any more problems. I’m sorry for everything.
@JP
Thanks. I’m trying to fix this as soon as possible. I’m scrolling through each character vector to find the original artist to credit them. Again, I’m sorry I stole yours and everyone else’s vectors I used without crediting.
@KysonCat
It doesn’t matter how long ago you made these, the original artists still have to be credited. Even if you didn’t mean anything bad, you’ve just left a huge mess here for others to clean up, when we have to figure out whose images you used (those images could be here on Derpi, they could be only on DA, or somewhere else).
My image appears in >>3233983. The image you used is >>2967510. But that’s the only one I know about.
@JP
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean any harm. I made these a long time ago on Canva for fun and I just decided to share them on here. I’m sorry I didn’t credit you and everyone else’s vectors, I really didn’t mean to cause any trouble. Can you tell me which vectors are yours so I can properly credit you?
OP, you’re completely new here, I can see that in your profile.
There’s two extremely important pieces of site rules you just completely ignored:
Respect artists and their artwork
Properly tag and source images
You uploaded seven images, all made up from other people’s vectors. You just took them and copy-pasted them into existing images of Mario Party. At no point did you tag the original artists or add any sources. That makes you an art thief, basically. And you had the audacity to tag yourself as the artist in some of your images. You didn’t draw anything, you just copied other people’s works.
Now, go back and add every artist whose works you’ve used to your images. Otherwise the site mods will get involved. I can see at least one of my own vectors used without credits and I specifically say in my profile that if you use my works, the only thing I ask for return is that you credit me. You didn’t do even that, which makes you incredibly lazy and selfish. I will have that image taken down if you don’t start fixing those artist tags.
