Good evening, fillies and gentlecolts. Erm, and ladies and gentlemen, I do suppose.
You no doubt saw the invitation from earlier. That was something I sent out to a number of ponies for tonight’s festivities. Above is a photograph we had taken of the BUCK representatives from the DIDR, and of course, yours truly.
From left to right: Slightly Eccentric, After Eight, Saturn, Sketchy Sounds, myself, Iso, Lt Darklove, Pvt Buckler, and the ever-enthusiastic Power Up.
For a first social meeting with most of these fellows, it has gone quite swimmingly I must say. The mood is quite festive, at least for most of us! I must say though, it does feel rather odd to be commenting upon one’s own social gathering as it transpires. Ah well, Mr Eight assures me that this sort of thing is common in your world, and I am nothing if not adaptable.
I am also informed there is a remarkably similar day of celebration going on today on the other side of the computer screen as well. A remarkably serendipitous turn of events I must say, though I shall not read too much into it.
I hope you all are enjoying yourselves in a responsible fashion—and wearing something green! It’s quite important, I hear!
