What a happy meeting

At this point it’s going to be very unlikely that Opaline is going to end up reformed. Sure FiM did reform seemingly irremediable villains like Discord or Starlight Glimmer. But I feel if they intended to reform the Fire Alicorn they would’ve made her act less like a Saturday Morning Cartoon villain and had show us some of her redeeming/sympathetic qualities already.

There are certain people, many in fact, who cannot change, and for which it’s better to accept that than continually excuse them. It is equally important to teach this as it is that given a chance they can change or improve… and the former is not taught or expressed enough, especially to a younger audience.

But Narcissists, those who have the very real psychological condition, are inherently incapable of understanding others emotionally, the damage they do, or changing, and almost always wouldn’t make an effort without constant, grave threat to the existence.

And forgiveness is always important, but it’s not something you give because someone earns it.

Why would you want to focus on negative features when positive features are better? Even if they are few and do not exist? If Opaline decides to reform, she will be forgiven. Even though she wanted to throw Sparky into the water
