I guess that could work, although I would raise issues with putting a child in such a team. Then again, I did read at least 1 fanfic that made it work.
Honestly, she seemed quite adamant in Canterlot Wedding about it being her duty. She could have been a lot more cruel to her changelings if she was that evil.

If one were to argue that Discord and Starlight’s second chances were more so a means of practicality rather then a genuine want to see them change and lead better lives, then its a favor in Cozy’s argument that friendship is power and I don’t think it reflects well on the Main 6 to see her proven right all along. It still does not change the fact that it is unfair that he gets away with so many things while the trio aren’t even given a second chance. And if anything, I’d say that Discord has proven to be more of a liability in season 9, where his magic actively made things worse. Both characters are very good examples, I would argue.
And if you want to talk usefulness, Cozy’s intellect could be of great use when she grows up, Tirek could subdue threats by draining their magic and I’m sure Chrysalis’s abilities could come in handy.
they also stoned him at first
They stoned him because there was no other way of beating him at the time. The trio were depowered and basically defenseless. There was no real need to stone them like that. Cozy in particular could have been held in a normal locked room since she doesn’t really have any superpowers to speak of.
Soldiers need sustenance to continue soldiering.
Yes, and so does the entire changeling race. Chrysalis clearly considered it her duty to take care of them, meaning that she took her role as a queen quite seriously.
That she can cooperate with other evil people
Its not just cooperation. It’s almost forming a genuine friendship. Yes, she rejected it, but its still more then what can be said for the reformed villains prior to their redemptions. A low bar is still better then no bar.

Why didn’t Discord just say he was sorry before the Main 6 stoned him?
I don’t know if Discord is the best example to use for a character who was reformed in spite of not apologizing when…they also stoned him at first. The decision to eventually free Discord was a practical measure, done solely so they could make use of his power. Ethics don’t appear to have played a role at all, and there doesn’t appear to have been any thought to unfreezing Discord on the Mane 6’s part beforehand.
Also worth noting that talking to Starlight was also (in part) a practical measure. They had shown themselves to be equals in fighting, and Starlight was seconds away from permanently ruining the timeline, she didn’t really have many other options other than trying to reform her mid-battle. Also, Starlight’s quick reformation is a commonly criticized moment, so I dunno if it’s the best example to use either.
She clearly cared enough about her changelings to consider it her duty to feed them and Frenemies showed that she can work with others.
Soldiers need sustenance to continue soldiering. That she can cooperate with other evil people when she has literally no other option isn’t the highest bar the cross. She is also the one to actively reject friendship with the two, and agrees that will destroy each other after their goals are reached…so it’s not even as if she crossed that low bar so much as tripped over it.

So like Discord? Remember how he was imprisoned for a long time then got free and started terrorizing ponies again? Or that time he was released and started mutating animals? Good times.
Because Chrysalis basically spat at Starlight’s face
Just like how Discord did with the Main 6 and Starlight first did with Twilight.
Cozy doubled down and told them she did it for power.
And Discord did it for fun while Starlight did it for petty revenge. Why weren’t those two instantly sorry? Why didn’t Discord just say he was sorry before the Main 6 stoned him? Why didn’t he apologize immediately after being released from stone? Why didn’t Starlight just apologize after losing in Our Town? Why did she need to go through a whole time travelling escapade for that? What reason was Cozy given to genuinely feel sorry? Cozy answered them honestly about wanting power, but no one asked why, no one tried to talk her down or show her a better way to power. Nobody tried to help her and she was by no means worse then Discord and Starlight or even Tempest at their worst.
did you watch the show
Did you? Because all I saw was Twilight not even attempting to reform Cozy when she blatantly forgave a million things to Tirek and a lot of things to Starlight. There was absolutely 0 proof provided in the show that Cozy was unreformable in any way because nobody ever tried.
she wanted to reform when she saw the damage she was doing
No she didn’t. First, she ran away remorselessly from Our Town after she was revealed and she did not give up when seeing the destroyed world. She still needed further convincing first by taking Twilight to her past and even then, she almost ripped the scroll. Seeing the results of her action did not just immediately change her. You know who wanted to do something about the results of their actions? The trio with the windigos. When they came back, the three were already discussing on getting rid of them. Tirek especially wanted to destroy them as soon as possible.
So I would very much argue that it is the same.
@Dragonpone
Still no worse then Discord was. Probably the most evil of the trio, but certainly capable of reforming. She clearly cared enough about her changelings to consider it her duty to feed them and Frenemies showed that she can work with others. Yes, she would be difficult, but not more so then Mr. spirit of chaos.

Chrysalis unambiguously refused her chance at redemption, clearly enjoys being evil, and is debatably the least reformable of the three, but people champion her redemption cause she’s hot don’t @ me

Chrysalis was offered a second chance, but was not given any further help whatsoever and frankly,
Because Chrysalis basically spat at Starlight’s face! If Chrysalis said she was sorry, she would’ve been forgiven on the spot, be real here.
As for Cozy, she was never offered any second chance nor was there ever an attempt to try and help her.
Except that when asked why she did those horrible things, Cozy doubled down and told them she did it for power. Again, if she was sorry, she would’ve been forgiven instantly. And she was written to be a psycho with no remorse, so that’s not happening.
Again: did you watch the show or did someone describe it to you through a hole in a wall? Did you actually see what was happening on the screen as fact?
@Background Pony #BDA3
The difference is that she wanted to reform when she saw the damage she was doing—she didn’t see what she was doing was wrong; those three don’t care because they’re irredeemable and wanted to do damage. It’s not the same.

…Did everyone forget that he was imprisoned the first time in the flashback? Then, when he got free, he went on a rampage? And when he got free again, he did the exact same thing? Did anyone here watch the show?

Honestly, I actually thought they were going to do the reformation arc with the Trio, perhaps having them play the “Vegeta” to Twilight’s “Goku,” in order to stop Grogar’s “Frieza.” Making Grogar Discord was a huge mistake.

I watched every episode of the show multiple times.
Chrysalis was offered a second chance, but was not given any further help whatsoever and frankly, I consider it no worse then when Discord literally mocked the Main 6 for trying to reform him and how Starlight told Twilight to essentially shut up during her friendship speech.
As for Cozy, she was never offered any second chance nor was there ever an attempt to try and help her. Twilight only asked her “why?” told her she was wrong and that’s it. They gave up on her the second she was revealed to be a villain.
Tirek also never received any sort of second chance. Not once in his appearances nor is there any proof or even suggestion of attempting to reform him while he was in Tartarus.
People were sick of rushed or bad reformations. Not reformations necessarily and its not like it was the whole fandom. Stop trying to speak for literally everyone. That’s rude. I was quite happy when they decided to reform Starlight, even if the whole thing went by a bit too quickly. The trio, however, were well-built up for a potential reformation after Frenemies and Cozy was a child so not even trying with her at least was frankly, hypocritical and ridiculous.

@TheQuietMan
it did actually more than one or two or three. In that season finale twilight tried multiple times.
And in our village as well.
