This is why every cartoon, whether its for kids or not, NEEDS to have current character development status listings for every character when it comes to hiring new writers.
That and we know that shy hates violence and is last pony to resort to it and is more likely to let others walk over her her friends are there to help push her.
I can forgive them for not sticking to the lessons they learned because it’s a lot harder than it seems heck in shy’s case dealing with social anxiety or being more assertive aren’t something you just easily deal with as shy said before this is a lesson you don’t just learn and it sticks she’ll need to push herself to be more assertive or social (heck for social anxiety she’ll never get over it). That being said that’s why the girls are so loved they’re not perfect and don’t really try to be which makes them more likeable than if they were.
To be fair, whenever Twilight is not part of what caused the problem but is involved she solves 90% of the crisis or plays an important part in the resolution and usually avoiding collateral damage so partial points there. And even when she kinda does cause problems she still solves most of them.
Whereas Fluttershy is not usually the one who solves the problem until she gets shoved into, follows somebody else’s orders or apparently said problem involves animals, or whenever suddenly an enemy needs a shoulder to cry on for some weird reason like in Daring Doubt.
Interestingly enough when Twilight is the troubled one, the rest of the mane 6 usually have a lousy score helping, mostly being Spike the true savior then.
