Description

I often like to think of Ukraine as “the Land of Flowers”, because flowers are a big part of Ukrainian traditional culture. There’s also one character that I often like to think of as a flowering tree, Pinkie Pie, because her hair looks like the flowers of a cherry tree. It’s also because a pink-like colour was used in Cossack flags, originally red but dried by the sun.
Perhaps she might be more at home with this land of blossoms.
This one was originally for Independence Day (on Aug 24) but was delayed. З Днем Незалежності!
(Also - the stork is one of two birds that are Ukrainian national symbols, the other being a nightingale. In Ukrainian folklore, that bird represents restoration, as a stork building a nest on someone’s house represents everything being restored)
