After some searching around, the story appears to be like this:
A Roma woman was asking the Moon to help her marry some other man. The Moon grants this, but says that her first son is to belong to the Moon. The Moon also questions whether the child would have been loved if the mother was willing to give him up for marriage. The child is eventually born but does not look like his parents as he’s an albino (the son of the Moon). The father accuses the wife of cheating on him and kills her. The child is then abandoned on a mountain where he is adopted by the Moon.
The chorus asks how the Moon can become a mother if she can’t find love and how she could care for the human child. The end of the song says that the Moon is full when the child is happy, but when he’s crying the Moon will turn into a crescent to act as a cradle.
never!
