I live 5 miles from where this was, I remember the night it burned down, it really sucked :(

I dont seem to care about what was burned down or what was struck by lightning. I just like to laugh at stuff.

The whole thing was ugly, since it was made of Styrofoam and fiberglass. It sat out in the middle of a field, near a few highway signs, but still got hit. I almost peed myself laughing when I saw the video of it burning.

“Rainbow Dash, you saved the Earth from apocalyptic sea ponies. Shall we unite in Friendship with the much more tolerable land-based creatures of Equestria?”

Hehe… /) I’m a spiritual person, pretty heretical, but I have to say that statue makes good comedy, it’s whimsical, more passion than skill went into it… the source of evil I think is the desire to consume instead of create. I’m sure somepony loves to use stuff like this for a divisive agenda (Dear Princess heard that remark, May She Live Forever!), but it’s hard to oppress people with imagery if you can make them laugh.
 
Now I got an idea for a series of more apocalyptic pony posters showing the mane six being teleported into our world in various dramatic ways, heh. Perhaps a mix of sci-fi and apocalyptic imagery. I’d probably have to get my new laptop and a stylus if I want to upload homegrown art (instead of mashups). Hmm, I really want to read a ponified version of epic apocalyptic confrontations now.

To be honest, regarding the whole “this statue was struck by lightning and burned to the ground”? As a Christian, I can tell you exactly why that happened:
 
It was one of the only objects for miles around that had points reaching close to the sky, turning it into a giant lightning rod that attracted lighting. It then burst into flames because it was made out of flammable material.
 
That’s it. Simple laws of the natural world in effect here. I don’t really think God cares if someone wants to make a statue of Jesus in order to both honor Him and give inspiration to people seeing it. The only reason it was struck down by lightning is because, due to NATURAL laws of the NATURAL world, it was bound to be hit by lightning sooner or later.
 
Sometimes a pipe is just a pipe, and sometimes lightning hitting a giant flammable statue is just lightning hitting a giant flammable statue, not “THE DIVINE WRATH OF GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDD!!!!!” milks giant cow

The Last Battle will occur due to an accident on the Friendship Express, catapulting the Mane Six into the “Real” World.

“Big Butter Jesus” is pretty catchy.

FYI: This is “Big Butter Jesus” which used to be on display next to I-75 between Cincinnatti and Dayton, OH. It was struck by lightning and burned to the ground.

You know, I like this. I like this a lot actually. I now want to see a picture with Jesus as Celestia and Luna’s adoptive über-grandfather, playing with them in some form or another.
 
Because lets face it people, if Jesus were to show up in Equestria, it would probably be a Narnia situation; the same rules and laws of Earth may not or need not apply to the world of Equestria.
 
That said, now I also want to see Aslan playing with Celestia and Luna, or at least interacting with the Main Six.
