Flurry Heart was once known as the princess who was promised. When she was born, Cadence actually lost almost all of her connection to the Crystal Heart. Flurry Heart took not only her place, but also functions as a sufficient replacement for the heart. She herself contains many of the light-bringing, spirit-lifting magic that was so potent in the Crystal Heart. If Cadence’s connection to it was strong, Flurry’s is unbreakable. Even after she loses her horn, this connection to the heart remains, but the Crystal Ponies don’t see it that way. Flurry Heart becomes known as the broken alicorn, shattered princess, false queen. The common people of the Empire, while bearing no ill-will towards her, no longer believe she is the savior they once thought she was. How could a savior allow something so tragic to happen to her? To her horn of all things- the one thing actually connecting her to the Crystal Heart? What they don’t know is that Flurry’s bond with the heart is lifelong.
-
Flurry is pretty tall, and in show would have Cadence’s body type. She definitely looks like an alicorn, and that doesn’t change after her horn is destroyed.
-
Flurry doesn’t exactly step down. She is, by birthright, the heir to the Crystal Throne, horn or not. She more so… accepts defeat. Both by Love, and by Cassie.
-
She has never liked her sister. Certainly never loved her. So when Love inherits everything that was originally promised to her, she spirals. Losing her horn was enough, but that’s what really breaks her.
-
To deal with all this built up angst and depression, Flurry is sent to rehab. It’s not rehab rehab, it’s more like a camp where she learns to survive without her horn. She’s placed in the dirtiest, muddiest situations with common folk she’d never dare associate with outside of the camp, but eventually… she changes. She learns to accept what happened to her, and she makes some lifelong friends from camp, too.
-
She does not even remotely approve of what Love is doing as the new ruler of the Empire, but she doesn’t have many supporters to back her on any sort of rebellious thoughts she’s having.
-
In terms of her design, I added some more scarring to her face. Most of them will fade, but some remain for life.
-
For most of her life she has a bitter, distasteful, and overall really obnoxious personality. That comes with being a princess who was worshipped since birth.
-
Flurry is gay af but she’s never landed a girl bc she’s annoying!

I’ve talked a bit about how Love, as a ruler, is known for her ambition. She is what the Crystal Ponies always dreamed of. The ruler who will finally give them the justice they’ve been owed since Sombra. They’re tired of being complacent and quiet and forgiving. They want what Love is giving them: vengeance.
-
She doesn’t really have any strong feelings towards her sister. Flurry has always acted weirdly tense around her, and mostly, Love just feels annoyed by her presence. Love does try to be a decent sister, though, it’s not like she’s trying to destroy whatever relationship they have- Flurry’s done enough of that anyway. She’s not a monster.
-
Love is hella short. Like, comically so. Maybe the shortest ruler in all Equestrian history.
-
She has all the traditional unicorn features, including cloven hooves, that tuft of hair on her back, and a lion tail.
-
She’s fluffy year-round, but gets particularly poofy during the winter. She has a lot of feathers despite not being a pegasus. She gets that from Cadence.
-
Love’s not anything. As in, she doesn’t identify with any label. She’s never had a partner, as she feels finding love is an unnecessary distraction. That doesn’t stop the suitors, though, or the admirers, or the letters she gets in the mail. By Celestia, it’s like everyone’s in love with her.

She’s cute but in like a homicidal way
