That is certainly what made the difference for me. Every day my goal was to be with my family and friends again, it still is. Some of the others who didn’t do so well in the program I was in didn’t have that motivation, for them, home just meant being alone again.

A lot of what you are doing in this story is very affirming, it’s helping me remember why I wanted to be healthy again, too.

I get what you mean. But Sunny is doing really well and recovering quickly. I’ve had family members in for 6 to 9 months for similar things. And I just got out of 3 months of pulmonary rehab and physical … I guess also “rehab” … from long covid - a lot of people I entered the program with will be in there for months more. With stuff like this, even after your body relearns how to digest food, you pretty much have to learn how to walk again. Balance is donked up, and just figuring out how care for yourself again can be a real learning curve.

Sunny is doing great. Gaining 4 pounds a month - and keeping it on? She’s a star.
