Little time has passed since Star Charter was forced to leave New Appaloosa, not even given time to bury her mother or give her daughter a proper goodbye. There was too much risk in her sticking around, both for her and her family. So after helping her new family prepare for the long road to the north west, Star and her friends head off to find one last job for the Gunrunners, dropping off a shipment of guns and ammo to a farm.

But if trouble doesn’t find them, they’ll drive right into it. Dropping off a shipment of corn to the mining town of Amethyst Sand, the Desperados are caught up in a fight over an ancient and sealed mine. Who exactly are the residents of Amethyst Sands, what does Golden Harvest Farmers Union have to gain by driving them out, and why is Blue Skies involved in any of this? It’s a deadly mystery with many lives at risk and too few good ponies involved to stop the growing violence.

None of this really matters to Star Charter as she is more than willing to throw fuel onto the fire to feed her own rage. If she can’t just move on and let these ponies deal with their own problems, she is more than willing to make herself an even bigger problem for all those involved.

Sometimes, violence is both the solution and answer to the problem when it wasn’t your problem to begin with.
