Description
Klugetown is one rough city. Finding yourself stranded here a few days all by yourself, you decide to avoid most of the alleyways and side-streets so that what little belongings you still have aren’t fleeced and sold off in the nearby pop-up markets. As you nervously meander the main roads, an uncommon creature in these parts gives you hope; a brown pegasus just rounds the corner and moves down a nearby street, carrying a large sack of grains in his mouth. You assume, given what you know about ponies, that he must know a safe place to stay… so you follow. Not far off of one of the main thoroughfares, you see an inn called “Zaria’s Zhack” (sic) and across the street from it is a tavern named “The Eiffel Tower.” You just catch the tail of the stallion as he passes through the saloon style doors, making note of the many other customers streaming in and out. It’s quite popular, that’s for sure. You push passed the crowd and swing the creaky doors open.
Inside, it’s surprisingly pleasant, especially compared to the rather oppressive atmosphere throughout most of the city. The smell of ale and beer is prevalent, as expected, but there seems to be some fresh bread or baked goods mixed into the air. Creatures gather around tables and pack themselves into corner booths, knocking back mugs of brewed alcohol while eating something that resembles folded flatbread. They’re laughing and listening to a black goat jam out on the standing piano. A pair of very colorful griffon girls take platters of ale to a nearby table, keeping their customers well stocked while taking their empty mugs back to the kitchen. The pegasus you followed greets you near the door. He casually says to pick any table you like, motioning to a few empty ones near the back.
As you slide between jubilant guests to find your seat, the two griffon gals almost meet you there at the exact same time. The effervescent lemon yellow griffon slides onto a tabletop while the sultry blue one sidles up beside her.
“Hiya handsome! Welcome to the ‘Eiffel Tower’!” The bubbly yellow griffon rests her chin on top of her talons with a beaming smile.
“Can we get you anything, hun?” The bluejay griffon has a fresh mug of beer already poured, pushing it forward. She looks you straight in the eyes. “…and I do mean anything!” She winks. What could she possibly be implying?
Woo! I finally got a chance to draw up something with my griffon, Gaela, alongside another griffon I designed, Ginnie, both working at Gaela/Moonshine’s tavern in Klugetown. Ginnie is a griff I designed for a good friend of mine a while ago; she’s a bubbly and super sweet gal that excels at fast and friendly customer service. She usually works at a diner as a hostess and is known to be very committed to speed and excellence. Gaela is attentive to the customers at her tavern, though she can be easily distracted by the right topics of conversation… or certain requests. Moonshine, the pegasus stallion in the story (another friend’s OC), usually keeps her on task, though, so it’s not a problem. They’re both great gals and you can bet your last Bit that having them for servers is always going to be a great time!
Oh, also, while I designed Ginnie’s spring-themed green outfit, another friend of mine, QueenCold, designed Gaela’s dress/apron (or what’s actually known as a dirndl). I loved the design she came up with and had to draw Gaela in it again; it just fits her so well! QueenCold also gave me the inspiration for the BG here. She originally designed it for my commission and it’s such a fitting BG I had to canonize it for the tavern’s idealized look. It’s pretty cool!
Took me a bit to get all the details down on this one so I hope you guys like it! Until we next meet, I urge all y’all to keep it classy, ponefriends ;)

She totally would, but you’ll have it snatched off your head if you try walkin’ out. She’s gotta have her stylish hat!
