Um…what the hay?
Pipp Petals has almost nothing in common with Rainbow Dash. One was an athlete, and the other a celebrity. One was a Wonderbolt, and the other a crown princess. The only minor similarity between the two, other than them both being Pegasi, is their personalities, with both loving the spotlight and being a bit hotheaded. Other than that, though, I see them both as being different and distinct characters.
Also, the ‘same initial’ thing is very much a coincidence, my friend. No need to put on a tin hat over that.

In Friendship is Magic, Rainbow Dash has the cutest butt of the Mane 6. In A New Generation, Pipp Petals has the cutest butt of the Mane 5. Pipp Petals actually has more of what I liked about RD than Zipp Storm; the looks, the high-pitched vocal charm and shapely athletic body that attracts thousands of other ponies. They even have voice actors with the same initials 11 years apart from one another! Ashleigh Ball from 1983 and Amanda Bridel from 1994. So when Amanda Bridel started playing Pipp Petals in 2021, she was the same age as Ashleigh Ball when she started playing Rainbow Dash in 2010.

It’s a reference to Mike Oldfield’s song “On Horseback” in which one of the lyrics is “I’d rather be with you than flying through space”.

It’s funny because Pipp’s a horses, she’s wearing a saddle and I would rather be with her than flying through space.
