I think that was an effect purely used to hide Opaline’s own horn. Perhaps due to Opaline’s horn being a different shape, her variation of Sunny’s horn would need to be illuminated to hide it.

Also, I don’t think that is a magical horn. I think that is a physical horn that is lit up.

That was fully intentional, my friend. Opaline wanted to show Sunny that she could become a full Alicorn, one with a permanent set of wings and a horn much like Opaline herself as opposed to the temporary one that she has currently (and she will become a permanent Alicorn-it’s a matter of when rather than if at this point). As such, Opaline showed what Sunny could become, a true Alicorn like Twilight Sparkle herself.

Both Sunny and Hitch have a bit of Fluttershy in them, probably because they’re so close.

There is also the nervous little Misty. I really don’t mind if we’re getting 3 Fluttershys in the new generation. <3

You know I am a huge Fluttershy fan. So this comment is the highlight of the day for me, Wayne.

Fluttershy really is the example we should all learn from. I am sure Sunny learned at least a few things from her, considering how much she learned about the Mane Six. I hope Fluttershy continues to influence Sunny in various ways in the series. To me, Sunny has the kindness of Fluttershy and the innocence of Fluttershy, which is a big reason why I love her so much (yes, I know bronies like to compare her to Twilight, because of her Alicorn abilities, but I still feel like she is more like Fluttershy than Twilight).
