Story - Never Trust That Pinkie Pie
Summary: Pinkie and Rainbow are left in charge and keep an eye on Ms. Peachbottom while the other four are visiting Augusta, Maine. However, things later get worse when Pinkie decides having her way is fun and not doing Rainbow’s way.
In Portland, Maine, The Mane Six are with Ms. Peachbottom where the lighthouse is, and the others are promising Rainbow and Pinkie that they can trust each other fair and square while staying with Ms. Peachbottom.
“Alright, me and the others are gonna be heading towards another city in this state.” Applejack told Rainbow and Pinkie, as she, Twilight, Rarity and Fluttershy are exploring a different city in Maine called Augusta, which takes almost one hour to get there.
“That doesn’t sound like a bad idea, actually.” Pinkie Pie replies back, not really caring whether one city far away from another in the same state matters.
“We are gonna busy, and we need you and Pinkie promising us that you’ll trust each other and also Ms. Peachbottom.” Twilight Sparkle reminded Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash, as it was important that they work together as a team for one simple duty.
Rainbow and Pinkie salute, responding, “Yes, we will do our best and make sure that we can be on the same page!”
“Oh, and make sure you try and listen what other ponies say.” Fluttershy told Pinkie Pie, knowing how exciting she can be whenever she tries getting things her way. “If Rainbow wants you doing as she says, just take the words she says and it’ll be alright.” She added.
“That’s boring!” Pinkie Pie said in a sarcastic voice, mocking Fluttershy’s comment about not doing things the Pinkie Pie way.
“Darling, now’s the time for this petty argument.” Rarity warned Pinkie Pie, not even smiling over Pinkie Pie offending Fluttershy’s advice instead of taking it.
Pinkie Pie simply has her mouth shut having no intentions on saying anything. Regardless, she still agreed Rarity’s suggestion. “Okay, I’m gonna make myself a Pinkie Pie for everypony!” She replied, giving the ponies the promise just like the way they would promise her in the same manner.
“Okay, I guess that means we can leave.” Twilight Sparkle told Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy as they all head for Augusta, another city in Maine, doing business in that city.
With that out the way, this leaves Pinkie and Rainbow left in charge over watching Ms. Peachbottom while they trying the best they could working as a team.
“This looks like we can be having a party right now.” Ms. Peachbottom suggested, as she sat down sitting on the left rock looking particularly happy that she, Rainbow and Pinkie should have a big activity just for themselves only.
Rainbow Dash disagrees with this idea, saying, “No, no, no. We aren’t doing that today. There’s a lighthouse closer towards and we should do something like exercise!”
“Still lame and boring.” Pinkie Pie complained, still unhappy that she must do the things Rainbow Dash says since she is basically the leader. “We gotta do things Rainbow’s way. Why do something Rainbow does? It sucks.”
“Pinkie, we gotta agree with everything.” Rainbow reminded Pinkie that they should be working and doing things as a team, just the way Twilight has told them not too long ago.
“She does… have a point, though.” Ms. Peachbottom defended Pinkie Pie against Rainbow’s decision, knowing that an opinion still does matter.
“Sorry, but I’m the leader and you both shall do as I command!” Rainbow said with a little anger on her face, preferring they just do as she says. “Twilight clearly said me and Pinkie are as a team, not individuals.
Pinkie’s mouth was closed for a few seconds, but finally, she agrees. “Okie dokie.” She said despite not being the leader, hoping she is the leader next time.
Pinkie and Rainbow started doing sit-ups, which is the most important exercise part for the body, while Ms. Peachbottom preferred push-ups.
“You know, for once, exercise isn’t really bad for ponies after all.” Pinkie said, as she is beginning to realize that sit-ups wasn’t such a bad idea in the first place. “I can’t go on an empty stomach without exercising.”
“At least it helps the body do more workout from the other way around.” Rainbow Dash laughingly replied out loud.
“Just like the old days, I haven’t done exercise in ten years.” Pinkie Pie said, remembering the last time she did exercising was way back in Equestria a long time ago. “Teamwork is cooperation!”
It has been minutes after minutes as the two ponies did sit-ups, push-ups in Ms. Peachbottom’s case. But, however, Ms. Peachbottom was feeling so exhausted after doing over one-hundred forty push-ups, she wanted a break from doing workout any further. “Oh, this is so crazy…” She said, as she fell to the ground, looking completely tired.
“Hey, this is no time for a break!” Rainbow Dash yelled at Ms. Peachbottom, knowing she is not accepting any excuses taking a break. “We gotta continue training!”
“You trying to act like your old self, aren’t you?” Pinkie Pie asked Ms. Peachbottom, knowing how much anxiety she gets, as it was before during the Crystal Empire Games.
Ms. Peachbottom nearly fainted, but luckily enough, she had a response. “This exercise has been giving me a kick straight in the head. I just can’t do anymore, it’s been giving me a headache. Let’s just do something else.”
“You are just chicken.” Pinkie Pie said, mocking Ms. Peachbottom for her cutie mark, which is what describes her anyway.
“I’m not a chicken!” Ms. Peachbottom responded in annoyance, feeling insulted by Pinkie Pie’s words and that it would hurt her feelings a lot for being called such names, like a chicken for instance.
“Pinkie, that’s not nice calling ponies names!” Rainbow Dash reprimanded Pinkie Pie, crossing her hooves around as she was not looking happy either.
Pinkie Pie ignores Rainbow’s protest, teasing, “That’s what she is anyway. Even her cutie mark says the whole meaning behind it all. What do you expect when somepony is called a chicken in the first place? Nothing!”
Rainbow Dash flies closer towards Pinkie Pie, hoping that her words can be more clear. “Once again, calling somepony a chicken is an insult. How would you feel when somepony calls you a name that you wouldn’t like?” She responded with the tone of her voice being raised.
“Such words coming you from, Rainbow Crash!” Pinkie Pie argued, insulting Rainbow further.
“Like you are the one to talk, Pinkamena Diane Pie!” Rainbow Dash argued back, not caring about Pinkie Pie says to her.
“Oh, yeah? That’s why Applejack always defeated you in the Iron Pony competition, loser!” Pinkie Pie yelled further, as she believes Rainbow Dash was the loser, and Applejack was crowned as champion during the race, too.
Ms. Peachbottom, watching the two arguing with each other, steps in and intervenes. “Come on, there’s no reason we should be fighting.” She told the two ponies, which resulted in them calming down and finally coming to their senses.
“Eh, sorry about that.” Pinkie and Rainbow both apologized, as arguing was never the good choice to begin with.
“I believe we should do some other things for fun.” Ms. Peachbotom said, hoping that there’s something way better from exercising. “No way!” Rainbow Dash chased after her and Pinkie Pie, as the two started making a safe jump landing on the left rock.
Between these two rocks was an object that is usually for taking a view at the water nearby. Pinkie and Ms. Peachbottom are standing on the left rock and started jumping over the object as high as possible.
“Hey, get down!” Rainbow warned the two ponies, as jumping over an object between two rocks was not safe.
“Aww, don’t worry, we have just started the fun!” Ms. Peachbotom jumped in excitement, as she ignored Rainbow’s protests, as she was feeling just fine, along with Pinkie Pie, as they had fun jumping from the left rock into the next rock over and over again.
Rainbow Dash put the front left hoof on her face, giving a facepalm, looking at herself in shame. “Ugh, why do I ever wanna trust Pinkie for something like this?” She asked herself, complaining and not doing stuff that Pinkie Pie does and decides to fly away from the two ponies and go search for Twilight and the others.
