I’m not encouraging you to do anything like that. I’m just saying holding a grudge against Discord forever and spending the rest of your life complaining about him not being punished is bad for your health.

Hypocrites* that show remorse for their doings. Doesnt matter if they show remorse when lifes are ruined. Criminals in prison show remorse but still they pay for their fuckery. A bad decision made with good intentions is still bad a decision and guess what boiyo is still a bad decision showing remorse or not.

Hey shhh, don’t you know we’re not allowed to speak ill of Discord for being such a perfect character? No opinions of him shall ever be spoken unless it’s prasing him like a god he is. It’s totally fine to do it to other characters though. People who like them don’t have feelings but Discord? Shut up.
No, he did not. And it’s not what I’m blaming him for. Granted, it can at least be argued his intentions could be called “good” if one applies the term very, very freely. Like, if you only look at it from the perspective of trying to cheer up a friend and ignoring the whole plucking up a group of bad people in order to force them into attacking your friend, lose, and likely die in the process.
It’s not like he wanted to outright hurt Twilight and her friends, though.
And I didn’t say he killed them; I said he was ready for them to be killed for his plan. If they ended up dead, then that was fine in Discord’s eyes. A little confidence boost for Twilight was worth risking these fours’ lives. I would even say you and I are in agreement over that this is what he was thinking. I’m sorry to say, I can’t call this “good intentions” and the fact that Sombra did end up dead by the end with Discord refusing to bring him back despite what he’d said before, it was nothing less than toying with their lives.
He never killed anybody, you know. Turning the villains to stone doesn’t count. He cares about some others no matter what you say. Also, I think it’s more like he didn’t care about the villains getting killed. There’s nothing to suggest he outright wanted them to die.
Thank you. Been arguing that for a while now, too. Heck, he lied about giving Sombra a chance to submit once he failed, he just left him for dead. So there is nothing to suggest he wasn’t banking on the other villains dying for his stupid, reckless stunt next. Fact is, Discord has always enjoyed exploiting others for his gain and throwing them away once they weren’t useful anymore. He did it with Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, the four other villains, the Smooze, and literally everyone in Equestria.
It would’ve been simple for the writers to make it less problematic. Just have Discord say he did it to reform them. It would still be a reckless plan, but at least he wouldn’t come across as a user ready to have his playthings killed for something he forced them to do.
So maybe Discord didn’t care what happened to the remaining villains as long as Twilight had the confidence needed to rule Equestria. But who would’ve? In-universe, I mean.
Sorry. I don’t have any personal vendetta against you. I just feel like people who hate Discord and want him turned back to stone need to be more respectful to people who like him.

Well, some people can see his suggestion as making up for his wrongdoings by subduing the threats he accidentally created. Also, if you so badly want people to stop bashing Starlight, then maybe you should stop bashing Discord yourself since there are very likely fans of him that are bothered by Discord bashing just as much as you are by Starlight bashing.
