It’s obvious that her having those alicorn (state) powers is similar to Aang(from the Avatar: The Last Airbender series), she’s obviously task in keeping all 3 species in harmony and make everyone stable, which I can see a comparison to the avatar in the ATLA series, being task in keeping all the nations in balance and peace.
And (for those who don’t know) if the avatar had disappeared, everything would obviously fall into chaos, and so would Equestria if sunny with her powers, vanished without any trace, which I think this is what happened when twilight sparkle herself become lost to most ponies.
Unless if she place your whole body and soul into the crystals, it’s possible that sunny might find a way to contact her through the crystals, like Aang contacting his past lives in either special locations that are high in spirit energy, or with certain artifacts (like in the ATLA comics after the series) for guidance .
Which imo it be so awesome if they do that with sunny contacting princess twilight for any enlightenment, if they do it right of course.

yeah I know the LOK series is not as good as ATLA, and I’m aware that season 2 is the worst out of the 4.
Honestly I was just doing it for the meme. I don’t hate Korra and do agree it’s not all bad.
Now now there, not all of the Korra series was bad, like season 3, it was pretty good mostly.
Still a better Avatar than Korra.Wrong series.
I can say the same with Aang from the avatar series, even though he had disappeared cause of the pressure of maintain harmony and balance can be too much for a little boy, he didn’t have much of a choose when he was born, and nether did sunny when she was chosen.
some of the nation leaders in the avatar series weren’t impressed with Aang as the avatar either,
