Now that I thought about it, why don’t they just replace the voice actors of the movie characters? They did it to Spike, Discord and now the Mane 5.
Not that I’m opposed to it. But it does give some implication that non-pony races might be extinct. I do feel kind of unnerved if the show completely avoids mentioning the races other than pony.
I just wish that the direction that the comic team was given was given to the cartoon team instead.
It’s because the creative teams have different goals, I assume they’re different teams. The cartoon teams wants to depict Sunny and friends to focus on present adventures, them being friends. The comics team, on the flipside, want to show G4 led to G5, studying on the lost history and lore that the movie alluded to. To me, going both directions separately but concurrently is a good idea.
I don’t mind that they want to make it Season 11, its just why in the comics and not in the tv show?
it does kinda feel that trying to do what people forced the G5 movie was doing when we found out it was a when we found out it was the same universe.
