Actually, Netflix pulled season five to eight. Not five to nine. And I still don’t know why Netflix keeps refusing to stream season nine of My Little Pony on Netflix.

Yeah, true. That’s because, at least in the US, Hsabro pulled seasons 5-9 from Netflix, while leaving seasons 1-4 intact. I don’t know why this is, I just know what I read from the news (and I am quite surprised that EqD didn’t make any mention of this on their site).

I see that the first year displayed after every season is the year when the season came out (although it doesn’t seem to work for S9, so maybe S7 and S8 are incorporated into it?). But I don’t understand what the second year means.

To respond to both of you…
Chances are, if you live outside of the US, you may still have MLP:FiM available to stream. After all, the shows that Netflix carries differs from country to country. With that said, however, it is wrong to assume that the show is available everywhere just because it happens to be on your version of Netflix. Hence why other options would be beneficial.
@PawelS
You are looking at the display for the Roku Channel, which features a bunch of ad supported TV shows that don’t require a subscription to stream. I don’t see why that would be strange.

Yeah, it is sad that Netflix is removing MLP, but TBH there were always other ways to stream the show, both legally and illegally (Hasbro is notorious for letting pirating sites ‘do their thing’). So it isn’t like MLP:FiM would be lost forever with Netflix removing the show. It just means we bronies will have to look toward other services that do carry the show (and it looks like you found one of them, as shown in this image).
