This is when the wiping out of the Umbrum is taking place. Screams and battle cries can be heard in the distance as the Crystal Heart greatly decreases their numbers, crystal soldiers flanking them to keep them from retreating. Draven, Sombra’s father, was one of the Umbrum soldiers in that battle.

Meanwhile, Clove had set out to deliver her child to the enemy. There was an orphanage in the empire, and that was her son’s only hope. The only hope for the Umbrum. She delivered him there quickly with nothing but a raggedy blanket and a note, then left. Soon Clove met the same fate as the rest of her kind, leaving Sombra to be the final Umbrum left in the world.
