I do know what fair use is since I’ve watched many videos about it on YouTube. However I think it’s common courtesy to credit other independent artists.
Remember, just because it’s technically legal doesn’t mean it’s morally ok. If fair use was acceptable then users wouldn’t be able to put themselves on an “no edit” DNP. Furthermore I simply wanted some credit for my work and I think even in Fair Use you still have to credit. Nowadays if I catch people stealing and can prove it I report takedowns.
However, I do think I was being a bit too strict here since the picture OP used here was just a screencap edit. But I still think it was rude of them not to credit, which is why I left that comment 2 years ago. Also I’m fairly certain OP was lying in his reply to me and lying is also bad manors.
