I continue to try get faster when it comes to digital art without giving up too much in terms of quality. I’m still far from where I want to be in both respects, I guess I just have to be patient and continue practicing.

Recently there was another online pen and paper role playing round during which I practiced digital drawing (drawing is something that sometimes makes it easier for me to concentrate on other things too, so it is supporting rather than distracting from the role playing game). In any case the image above is based on a scene from the round that day.
I got to admit that this round brought forth a rather impish side of my OC Leafhelm. The adventure (set in Equestria about a thousand years before the events of friendship is magic) brought us to a somewhat trouble ridden version of Canterlot that comes with corruption, organized crime, strong social inequality etc. On the one hoof Leafhelm gets along quite well with Soul (full name would Soul Reaper, but the last part of the name is a bit of a secret in game), a captain of the Canterlot guards, but on on the other hoof Leafhelm is rather merciless when it comes to rubbing it in that it would be part of Soul’s job to do something about the problematic situation in Canterlot.
While Leafhelm probably has a point in what he says and does in the adventure I cannot really blame Soul for thinking along the lines of “Some day I’m gonna kill him!” (hopefully not to be taken all to literally) after some particularly scathing and sarcastic comments of Leafhelm ;)
