TWO FOR ONE!!

Sugar Apple (born Sugar Spin) is a pegasus who accidentally migrated to the newly-established Ponyville when she was caught in a fearsome tornado. Injured and unable to return home, she was granted shelter at Sweet Apple Acres, the home of the Apple Delight Family. There, she was nursed back to health by the eldest daughter, Applejack. Slowly and surprisingly, the two fell in love and married. Sugar Apple was the first pegasus to ever marry into the Apple Delight Family, and thus changed her name to fit the family name. She was permanently disabled by her injury, her right wing needing to be amputated due to infection, and will never fly again, but she doesn’t mind farm life with her wife… though she does miss the sky sometimes.

Applejack is the eldest daughter of the Apple Delight family, the founding family of Ponyville. She is a hard worker, and takes care of her younger siblings when her parents can’t. She was the one who discovered the injured Sugar Apple and brought her home to Sweet Apple Acres. Ponyville was an Earth Pony-only settlement, so Sugar Apple faced a bit of prejudice about town by ponies who have never met a pegasus before, and Applejack is always very quick to jump to her defense.
