HERE’S YOUR GOLD STAR.
AAAAAHHHH…
Very intense.
“No I’m NOT! I”M WEARING A SWEATER!”
Too late for that in some parts, every fandom has it’s naysayers since not every episode or product is going to be gold. Some folks deal with it and move on, others wish to critique on what could have made it better.
They are just opinions, everyone has them, and not all are going to be for everyone liking. Complaining about it is not going to stop it. Just ignore and move on to the next or focus on the positives of the character than those complaining about it.
FYI: I did find Sombra’s potential, very lackluster. But that is my opinion.
There’s literally two.
I do as well, in fact. I always wondered what would happen if the post-apocalypse took an insane U-turn away from the Fallout style of bombed-out wasteland and straight into fantasy-land.
Can we have one King Sombra image without somebody ranting about what a “poor” villain he is, and such?
Seriously, it’s getting as bad as the Cadance-bashing, and Princess/alicorn Twilight complaints.
It’s like being in the Sonic fanbase again where all the fans do is complain about every new character, or change to the series constantly.
(And I’d hate to see this fanbase become as negative as that one personally.)
The Lich actively demonstrates how powerful he is, leaving a trail of blasted destruction as he races for his well of power. The most Sombra accomplishes before dying is giving Shinning Armor herpes. Sombra sounds ridiculous when he talks, and The Lich is voiced by Ron Perlman. Sombra is given an origin right off the bat that ends up meaning almost nothing to his character (would his actions be interpreted any different if we didn’t know he was the old king of Crystal land), while The Lich gives us a few hints in his first apperance (subtle radiation motifs) before later on revealing how he came to be in the most horrorfying way possible.
Which is a shame, because Sombra could have been just as potent and threatening a villain as The Lich. I normally like AT and FiM equally, but ponies seriously dropped the ball on this one.
“Adventure Time” is a great show. It’s also PG-rated so they get away with a bit more in it then most cartoons nowadays.
I also like how the “cute” character designs clash with the dark humor, and violence.
It’s a good show, if you like sugarbowl post-apocalyptic societies.
Which I do.
