Description

🇵🇱 National Independence Day (Polish: Narodowe Święto Niepodległości) is a national day in Poland celebrated on 11 November to commemorate the anniversary of the restoration of Poland’s sovereignty as the Second Polish Republic in 1918 from the German, Austro-Hungarian and Russian Empires.
Here we have the ponies of two Polish MLP conventions: Poppy Seed from Middle Equestrian Convention (left) and Polanna from My little Konwent (right).

Fun fact, both the Veterans Day and Polish Independence Day commemorate the exact same day: November 11, 1918; but for different reasons. November 10 could also have worked as the Independence Day, but the 11 fits as well because of the role of the preceding world war in regaining independence.

This is the same day we celebrate those who served for our country in the US.
Be thankful you still have something to celebrate for in Poland, our ancestors here must look at our country in shame.
