Okay, that’s actually interesting but it’s really bad that issue 102 was so incomplete to say all those things. Because i am with you about Discord wasn’t responsible about it, but for different reasons that i said previously but wasn’t clear despite there are all the pieces but other missing pieces, making it so ambiguous about what really happened.
I think only a third to a quarter of the actual final story has been transferred to the comic pages, it was a big mistake to only have 37 pages when 100 pages are needed. There’s too much to miss, too much that we do not see, and too much mess. And we still know nothing about Cunabula or why so much about the element magic from this land around the bearers and temples is in conflict with established lore.
  1. The “Knights” came to Equestria, confronting Discord who had taken the throne and become the ruler of the country.
  2. The “Knights” realized they could not take him out, contacted the royals who had experienced the troubles with Cosmos.
  3. The “Knights” and the royals came into conflict, Discord joined his enemies against invaders.
  4. The element bearers from the other realms went on the attack, one of the three teams was from Abyssinia. Cat senior is king there.
  5. The “Knights” won the battle at a high price by exterminating the invaders, the royals were too busy taking out Discord.
  6. The cunabulans attacked the realms, destroyed Panthera and caused enormous destruction in Farasi and Caninia.
  7. The royals demanded blood, and the cunabulans used all their magical knowledge to isolate their island from the whole world.
  8. Probably chaos reigns in the following centuries, so that the royals give up and begin to repair the damage. But they eventually came out in self-imposed isolation.
Caninia was split into many separate realms; Farasi came into oblivion, Abyssinia lost its magic, and Equestria entered very turbulent years with the Crystal War and the Nightmare Moon. Later came the Dog-Pony Wars when Equestria expands to the west where they entered Caninia without knowing it. This led to a strained relationship between the diamond dogs and the ponies. It is possible that the royals over the centuries distanced themselves from each other so much that they were not in contact for long. It cost them dearly when the Storm King came out and conquered the entire southern part of Equus. This shocked them so much that a conference had to be held after the death of the conqueror.
“The Cunbulan war” or “the Element war” thus had very long-lasting consequences for the known civilization. Twilight obviously had to take on the cleaning work …

About if all of that is his fault? It’s really confusing all the thing, the knights says it’s his fault but… everything about their flashbacks makes confusing the thing, even we see Celestia, Luna, Queen Novo and the other 2 kings who were in the Cosmos’ fight also fights with the knights.
So I was right … the “knights” were rejected by the royal sisters, and it is possible that the attack on Cunabula was NOT launched by Discord, but by the royals in the realms. That’s why Applejack looks angrily at Danu, she knows he’s not telling the truth and that his story was not true - and his arrogance is like a red cloth to her. I think I know how it really happened.
When Cosmos was banished to the stars, Discord took the opportunity to make himself king of Equestria when the “knights” arrived. Only after confronting him did they contact the royals, but there was a conflict between them. It is obvious that the cunabulans had a secret motive for their expansion that the royals discovered, possibly through the Abyssinian king Cat senior. He may have found out what had happened in his homeland in his absence, and discovered something that made the royals attack the “knights”. Discord and the royals thus allied and expelled the “knights” from Equestria. Meanwhile, the element bearers attacked Cunabula itself, probably with the permission of the princesses. But things went wrong, all element bearers were exterminated and the temples destroyed.
Cunabulans then realized that they had several realms that would attack them, especially after Discord was petrified, and thus they chose to isolate themselves from the rest of the world, also from the oceans - total isolation. It is possible that equestrians, hippogriffs, abyssinians and others had been trying to find Cunabula for a long time before they had to give up. Celestia and Luna along with Queen Novo, King Cat senior and possibly the princes of Farasi had been probably after blood after all that had happened. They then censored the history of this conflict. It was only in the last issue that the identity of the cunabulans was revealed.
Danu probably thinks what he explained is true, but we have seen in p. 9 that much of this can be strongly distorted, and that is what Applejack had sensed. Moreover, we see from his childhood that life in Cunabula was hard, it seems that the isolation had made the island unbearable to survive on. It is obvious that the cunabulans had refused to understand why the other element bearers attacked them, and why powerful creatures such as the alicorns Celestia and Luna pushed them out into the cold. And this is not explained in the issue. And since the element bearers from over a thousand years ago are so similar to the present ones that had “inherited” elements through blood ties, it must mean that the cunabulans are not like the others. Danu may have been cloned from his ancestors only to use the element as a weapon.
It meant that something was wrong with Cunabula. Maybe it was an experimental field to create new creatures. Maybe it was part of Grogar`s empire many millennia ago. Then the cunabulans probably in their good intentions had a wrong starting point when they came out for the first resistance in the form of Discord.
Danu was very close to destroying Canterlot and killing everyone, but that would have caused the survivors including Twilight to use fatal methods in desperation. We do not know what the final battle will be like, this has been cut off. We do not know about the fate of the cunabulans, but after what Danu has done, permanent deportation to Cunabula, which the whole world now knew about, is the best they can hope for. Maybe they are petrified or deprived of their magic.
But Cunabula has been exposed - and a powerful alliance pact has been created, which will destroy this island in the worst case. In the meantime, Twilight hopes that the people there will be more friendly in the future, but that is not certain. Danu seems completely brainwashed.
The cunabulan elementbearers then for over a thousand years which today were a danger to themselves and everyone else.

Well, Cosmos made various references in thar arc, but the formation of the royals i said is about another thing, they’re fighting aganist the knights.
Meanwhile, Spike was just with Discord after a fight aganist Taranis meanwhile Balor disguises as Spike like a wildcard to steal Twilight and Starswirl magic.
