Covid 19 in a nutshell
It reminds me of early G5 leaks, back when they were going to use reimagined Mane 6. Applejack was going to receive the most significant personality overhaul.
Wish we had an Applejack episode which addresses her frustration with being ignored. Or one where she deals with not being seen as part of the group by outsiders.

I’m thinking this is where Sprout may become part of the group. He’s pretty much the opposite of Applejack in every way. Plenty of growth for his character. He’s a liar, coward, mommy’s boy, lazy..
I mean go team Pipp, whoop whoop.
Applejack is the “honest mare” and she still has a lot going for her than being “the normal one”. She can be as competitive as Rainbow Dash at times and is an overprotective proud sister. The show just has a weird way with honesty. It’s ironic when she did something dishonest she became a “background pony” but when she wanted others to be honest no one listened to her. :/
Sunny is kind of the “straight mare” at times.
Lol, but seriously not having a Applejack “straight mare” type in g5 has been to its advantage so far, and shows why breaking out of the g4 character paradigm is a good thing.
But Spike doesn’t wear a hat, and he isn’t a pony.
