Twilight, Fluttershy, Pinkie, and Rainbow were making haste to save their friends and defeat Discord in his own twisted game. Rainbow Dash led the way while the other fillies were following close by. They quickly passed through several hills and plains towards their eventual destination.
 
Rainbow Dash: Come on guys, Sweet Apple Acres is just up ahead!  
Twilight Sparkle: Is that where you last saw Applejack going to?  
Rainbow Dash: Of course! Well last time that I remember anyway.  
Fluttershy: Oh I hope that Applejack is okay.  
Pinkie Pie: Don’t worry Fluttershy! I’m sure that meanie Discord hasn’t done anything to her!
 
The ponies soon arrived at Sweet Apple Acres and saw some noticeable distortions. Some of the crops were turned into junk food, the hills on one side were more rectangular, and random things were floating about. Another strange thing was the number of puddles throughout the farm. Regardless of these apparent oddities, there was no sign of Applejack.
 
Twilight Sparkle: Applejack! checks near the barn  
Fluttershy: Applejack. looks in the well  
Pinkie Pie: Applejack! lifts a piece of the ground like a carpet and looks underneath  
Rainbow Dash: Applejack!!! searches the fields  
Twilight Sparkle: Where could she be?  
Pinkie Pie: Maybe she went out for a walk. I know I would. Or maybe I would go for a quick run. Or better yet a walk and a run.  
Rainbow Dash: I don’t think she would wanna walk around with all this stuff going on.  
Fluttershy: That Discord better not have harmed Applejack or I’ll … I’ll …  
Discord: appears right in front of Fluttershy out of nowhere with a smile You were saying.  
Fluttershy: AAAHHH!!! flies to her friends and cowers  
Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, & Pinkie Pie: DISCORD!!!  
Discord: Hello again my little fillies! Enjoying my changes to the farm?  
Twilight Sparkle: Where’s Applejack!  
Discord: Now Twilight, you that I can’t simply tell you where she is. However, I can show you. creates a sphere of mist  
Pinkie Pie: Oh, I know! I know! She’s in Cloudsdale! Am I right!?  
Discord: Eh! Wrong, though that would be pretty hilarious putting an earth pony up in the clouds. Pffffhahaha!  
Rainbow Dash: That’s not funny!  
Discord: Relax Dashie, I wouldn’t let anything bad happen … much. the mist sphere clears a bit Speaking of which, here she is!
 
The sphere reveals Applejack in no apparent danger. She was a young filly again much like her friends. Her hat was missing and she appeared to be carrying a stick that held a bag with a photo inside. She was walking in an area nearby some trees and hills.
 
Twilght, Rainbow, Fluttershy, & Pinkie: APPLEJACK!!!  
Discord: As you can see, she’s in no danger whatsoever.  
Rainbow Dash: Where is she!?  
Discord: I’ve already told you. I can’t tell you silly fillies where she is. That would ruin the game.  
Fluttershy: She could be anywhere! Poor Applejack.  
Twilight Sparkle: I think that she might be somewhere close by. carefully analyzing Applejack’s surroundings  
Pinkie Pie: Really!? Woohoo!  
Twilight Sparkle: She’s in one of the apple orchards by the farm!  
Pinkie Pie: We found her!  
Fluttershy: Thank goodness.  
Rainbow Dash: No sweat! I’ll find her in a snap! rushes to the apple orchards  
Discord: laughs to himself  
Twilight Sparkle: What’s so funny Discord?  
Discord: Oh nothing, nothing. You’ll find out. tries holding in his laughter  
Rainbow Dash: rushes back to the farm in exhaustion She’s not anywhere!  
Discord: PFFFTHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!  
Pinkie Pie: I don’t get it. What’s the joke?  
Discord: It’s simple really. Applejack’s not in the orchards.  
Twilight Sparkle: But she has to be there! I’ve seen those apple orchards before.  
Discord: But that’s the joke! She is there!  
Twilight, Rainbow, Fluttershy, & Pinkie: Huh!?  
Discord: pulls out Applejack’s hat out of nowhere and lets it fall to the ground Without giving you fillies too much detail, she is there and yet she’s not there at the same time. This is so much fun seeing you four get confused so easily.
 
The four fillies are stumped by Discord’s puzzle. Twilight pondered about this riddle in deep thought. Fluttershy and Rainbow looked around from above and still found no sign of their friend. Pinkie thought upon the riddle too, but the thinking had her head spinning in confusion.
 
Twilight Sparkle: She’s there and yet not there at the same time. looks at the puddles scattered across the farm That’s it!  
Rainbow Dash: You know where she is!?  
Fluttershy: Where’s Applejack?  
Twilight Sparkle: Just follow my lead.
 
Twilight casted a spell upon Applejack’s hat. The cowboy hat soon levitating while under the magic and began to fly off to one of the nearby puddles. The hat then plunged into the puddle and disappeared out of sight.
 
Twilight Sparkle: I knew it! She’s in a reflection of Sweet Apple Acres. That’s why she appeared in one of the orchards in the sphere but not in the actual orchards on our side. explained while running  
Pinkie Pie: That’s really something. Applejack is in a mirror land. I wonder if the writing is backwards. If so, would we have to write Applejack’s name as Kcajeppla? Or would mine have to be Eip Eiknip? That’s so strange! giggles  
Rainbow Dash: What are we waiting for? Let’s go get Applejack!  
Fluttershy: Right!
 
The fillies soon plunge into the puddle and arrive in the other side. Everything was reversed inside, but the farm looked the way it did before Discord’s antics took precedent. The four saw the hat go deep into the orchards and they quickly followed. To their surprise, they saw Applejack in the distance.
 
Applejack: notices the hat descending close to her hooves Huh?  
Twilight, Rainbow, Fluttershy, & Pinkie: APPLEJACK!!!  
Applejack: What in tarnation?  
Pinkie Pie: hugs Applejack tight Oh Applejack! Thank Celestia that you’re alright!  
Applejack: Now wait just darn second. Who the hay are all of you fillies?  
Fluttershy: Oh no! She doesn’t remember us!  
Rainbow Dash: Hey AJ! What’s with this stuff? picks up her stick and bag  
Applejack: Don’t touch that! takes her belongings back I’m going to Manehatten to live with my relatives there. I just need to get out of this big ol’ orchard first.  
Twilight Sparkle: Applejack, listen. This isn’t really Sweet Apple Acres. You’re being tricked by Discord. We need you to trust us so that we can help.  
Applejack: You ponies are either crazy or full of it. Of course this is the farm, I just don’t remember it being so big is all.  
Rainbow Dash: Grrrrrrgh! Snap out of it would you!? This isn’t the farm!  
Applejack: Just leave me alone all of ya!  
Fluttershy: Please listen to us. We’re only trying to help.  
Applejack: I said no.  
Twilight Sparkle: Just gives a small moment of your time. That’s all we ask.  
Applejack: Grrrrr… Fine, if gets y’all to stop this nonsense.  
Twilight Sparkle: Thank you.
 
Twilight spared no more time and began her magic.
 
Applejack: What are you doing?  
Twilight Sparkle: Do you trust me Applejack?  
Applejack: What the hay do mean?  
Twilight Sparkle: Just answer yes or no.  
Applejack: hesitant Yeah, I guess.
 
With that said, Twilight casted her spell upon Applejack much like the previous times with her friends. Applejacks memories and experiences rushed back to mind in mere seconds. Her body still remained that of her young filly self. Twilight then suffered more painful recoil from casting the spell. Applejack regained consciousness whereas Twilight became unconscious. The ponies rushed to both fillies’ aid.
 
Applejack: Twilight? Y’alright?  
Twilight Sparkle: … What happened?  
Rainbows Dash: You fell over after that spell.  
Fluttershy: At least you’re not hurt.  
Pinkie Pie: hugs Twilight I thought something bad happened. Please don’t leave us Twilight!  
Discord: How touching.
 
The surroundings flashed to a bright white around the fillies. In seconds, the five were back at the real farm (so to speak). Discord greeting the fillies in their moment of small triumph.
 
Applejack: Discord!  
Discord: Nice to meet you too AJ.  
Rainbow Dash: Five down and one more to go!  
Pinkie Pie: Yeah! We got this in the bag!  
Fluttershy: All who’s left now is Rarity.  
Discord: Well when you’re right, you’re right. However, this whole fun ordeal only gives you ponies about checks a wristwatch 10 minutes and counting.  
Twilight Sparkle: Oh no!  
Applejack: Don’t worry, I saw Rarity head back home when this whole mess went down.  
Rainbow Dash: Alright then! Next stop, the Carousel Boutique!
 
The five soon took off with haste. Discord simply wave goodbye while toying with his hourglass.
 
Discord: I’ll catch up with you fillies shortly. But first, I have to check up on the princesses for a moment.

Discord: I traveled through time to make Applejack never leave Manehattan.

Rainbow: Without Applejack we can’t use the elements of harmony!  
Twilight: We’d also need Rarity.  
Rainbow:…who?
