New Born Cuties flash series is considered at least as G3.7, and even many of G3/G3.5 fans don’t like it..

The first G1 special had Tirek in it. TIREK.

Looking at the number of episodes the previous gens had, it’s nice to see that FiM is breaking the 65 episode mark. As someone who grew up with G1, I won’t complain about it. It was a much different time, back when pushing product was more important than character development and story. Honestly go back and watch the old stuff, just don’t knock since it’s not something you like. Just avoid that weird G3 baby…flash…series…that’s kinda creepy.

And one last thing: sorry I’ve interrupted your discussion…

@Serris: we all know the story? Would you be so kind and teach me, please? No offence, but please do not use “we all” when there is just you and people that only HEARD what G3 is..
 
 
If you consider G2 as MLP Tales (G2 really started since 1997), I would go like this: Midnight Castle, Catrina, MLP Movie, MLP Tales, better G1 episodes, G3 episodes, the rest of G1 episodes..
 
I’d rather prefer family lessons and small friendship problems than ponies at war with glass pig Porcina and her minions, which is a great adventure idea, but with not so good workmanship..
 
It’s only my opinion, but hey, I think I know what I’m talking about.. So far I’ve seen 65+26+65+1+23 = 180 My Little Pony episodes, specials and movies.. You can hardly beat that :D (if I’m not bad at math)
 
I loved G1 when there was nothing else, then G3 came. I think I can say I was disturbed but also delighted.. then I revealed MLP Tales, and that was my alfa omega until FIM came. In its light I had to admit that older ponies are the worse ones, but as the time goes on, the only generation which I grown more critical view was G1 series after the Movie. Nothing else. MLP Tales are the second best and when I started to collects common thinks between FIM and the rest of MLP, even G3 exceeded some of the G1 episodes..
 
But one thing I must agree.. Some of the voices in the first pilot were out of the line.. But many voices in the whole G1 series except for Tales can shake hands with voices from the Pilot..
 
Still I don’t like these memes.. Just because one series nowadays are best for the present audience doesn’t automatically mean that the older shows are totally bad.. What is better: FIM or Tales? They are different shows.. Just because some future pony shows may include sex which would be pleasable for the future audience doesn’t mean it will be better than FIM.. ;)

Hey at least G1 was watchable.  
I never saw any G2..  
But G3 and 3,5… Yeah we all know that story.

I challenge you to watch and compare: the Midnight Castle special versus the remainder of G1. The latter was objectively superior in most respects.

Look on the bright side, most of the series was far better than that sorry excuse for a pilot in terms of animation, voice acting, and writing.
