Summary- Twilight Sparkle, a unicorn that ascended to become an alicorn, given the title of Princess of Friendship by Celestia herself. Practically everyone in Equestria knew of Twilight Sparkle. After Starlight Glimmer turned back time and Twilight was forced to witness countless futures were she and her friends hadn’t helped to save Equestria she returned a changed mare. Twilight locked herself away in her room, not even Spike could pull her out of it. Rainbow Dash was sure that Starlight Glimmer had something to do with it, she had to! Maybe another one of her spells, like when she took away people’s cutie-marks… Only problem was that Twilight still had her cutie-mark and she still had her magic.
 
Eventually Rainbow Dash had enough, she stormed into Twilight’s room demanding to know what had been troubling her “It’s nothing.” Twilight had assured with a fake smile “Just working is all, being a princess is a har~~” Rainbow stomped her hoof down and snorted “You can lie to Spike but you can’t lie to me, what’s goin’ on Twi. You haven’t been yourself, that unicorn isn’t messing with ya is she?” Twilight shook her head “No, Starlight… Hasn’t done anything to me.” Twilight hesitated, it wasn’t really anything that Starlight had done, it was what she had witnessed due to the time spell that Starlight used. Rainbow’s feathers ruffled as she made an aggravated noise “When are you going to stop lying to me!” Twilight looked shaken by her friends outburst and a memory flashed before her eyes, Rainbow Dash covered in scars, her mane cut short and one of her wings now metal. Twilight felt the sting of tears pricking at her eyes and it was like reality faded around her. Twilight was mumbling incoherently. Rainbow Dash cursed “Hey Twi… Twi! Twi I’m sorry I yelled at ya~~ I just… I~~” Suddenly Twilight jumped from her bed and clung to Rainbow Dash crying “All those things I saw, what might have been had we not fought those monsters… All the times were without our intervention Equestria fell!” and it was like Rainbow Dash realised what was going on. Twilight had saw those horrors, saw what happened when the villians that they faced ruled and that was a terrifying thought. Rainbow placed a hoof on her friends back “Hey, it’s okay. Ya could’ve just told me ya know… I didn’t see it, none of us did. Only you. None of us can relate to seeing those possibilities? But guess what, they aren’t real. We are real, here and now is real. You gotta hold onto that.”
 
Rainbow Dash moved into the castle for a while and spent a lot of time with Twilight, Twilight eventually came out of her shell a little. And as it happens spending all your time with one pony for a long time has certain effects on you.
 
Twilight and Rainbow spent a night together, an emotional night where they both admitted that they’d grown attached, one thing led to another an… Well… They felt the only way to show each other their commitment was to want a foal.
 
However, as Twilight’s pregnancy progressed Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle realised that maybe they had rushed into things. They ended their short relationship amicably and the two remained close friends. When Twilight gave birth Rainbow Dash was by her side and when Cosmic Sparkle was born, Rainbow Dash fell in love with her daughter.
 
Rainbow and Twilight shared the responsibility of taking care of their daughter equally. From a young age Cosmo showed an interest in books. Twilight was of course overjoyed, Rainbow just laughed, while she could appreciate a good book now that she had found Dareing Doo, she didn’t quiet hold the passion that Twi or their daughter did but she could appreciate that they both had a passion.
 
When Twilight married Luna, Cosmo was resentful, she would put on a smile for her mothers but on her own she couldn’t believe that Twilight could do such a thing, what about their family. Luna had noticed some troubling dreams from Cosmo, entering the dream Cosmo was arguing with Twilight. When Luna interupted the dream the dream Twilight dissipated. Cosmo looked surprised for a minute before she pulled a face “Oh it’s you.” Luna was a little confused “Me? You say that as if you are not pleased to see me.” Cosmo’s feathers ruffled “No, I am not ‘please to see you’! You stole my mommy!” Luna blinked a couple times “Stole… No, no no little one. I would never steal Twilight from you my dearest.” Luna placed a hoof on the fillies shoulder, Cosmo pushed it away “Not Twilight, Rainbow Dash. You married Twilight and now mommy Dash isn’t here as often as she used to be.” Luna sat down and wrapped a wing around Cosmo “Oh that, Cosmo you have to understand your mothers weren’t… They weren’t together, they were just friends… And Rainbow Dash is currently busy with her wife Fluttershy… Don’t tell either of your mothers that I told you this, But Fluttershy is pregnant, you’re going to be getting a little brother or sister.” Cosmo’s eyes widened “What?” Luna nodded her head “If you want, tomorrow morning we will both go to see Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy.” Cosmo nodded her head.
 
As promise Luna took the filly to her mother’s house. Rainbow Dash answered the door and bowed “Princess Luna I~~” Seeing Cosmo’s little face Dash’s eyes widened “Twi!” Luna cut the pegasus off “Twilight is fine… Cosmo was feeling a little left out, you’ve been so busy recently. I promised her I would bring her to see you.” Rainbow moved to allow the princess and her daughter inside “Yeah, sorry for that kiddo… It’s just… Fluttershy has some news for you.” Cosmo was brought over to fluttershy’s side, she was laid in front of the fire two tiny fillies by her side “Look Cosmo, you’re a big sister.” Cosmo’s face lit up “They’re so cute! Is this what you’ve been busy doing Momma Dash!” Rainbow nodded her head “Yeah, sorry kiddo I just got distracted is all, Flutters really needed me. Tell ya what, how about you stay with us all weekend?” Cosmo nodded her head bouncing on the spot “Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!” Rainbow’s gaze moved to Luna who nodded “I’ll tell Twilight before I sleep don’t worry, she will understand.”
 
Luna and Cosmo started to grow closer, as Cosmo reached maturity she held no more resentment or hatred towards Luna, she understood that while her parents were friends with each other, they didn’t love each other. Twilight loved Luna and Rainbow Dash loved Fluttershy, Cosmo wouldn’t stand in the way of her mother’s happiness.

Summary: A mistake a stupid, stupid mistake! Luna couldn’t believe it, how could she have been so foolish. Twilight and her friends had left, Celestia and Luna had made their way to the castle of the two sisters. Luna was in her old room trying to soothe her crying filly. Celestia walked in surprised “Luna?” Luna was tearing “Please sister let me explain!” Celestia nodded. Luna took in a breath “It was a thousand years ago… Before you banished me to the moon-”
 
Luna thought she could change Sombra, he was angry thats all if she could prove he had no need he would stop his takeover. That didn’t work, Celestia and Luna were forced to banish Sombra, the evil unicorn cursing the crystal empire to the same fate as himself as he was banished. Luna was no longer of use to Equestria or her sister it seemed. Luna went out every night to make sure that the night was peaceful, that the nightmare forces did not invade. One night in battle, she was downed. Using her nightmare form she was almost unrecognisable to anypony who knew her. The nightmare forces knew she was pregnant and used it against her, the promised her everything, respect, adoration, a safe place to raise her daughter. How could she say no? Joining the nightmare forces Luna called herself Nightmare Moon, using the power of the nightmare forces she raised the moon and attacked Celestia, her night would last forever, she would be the ruler, she would be loved, she would be the princess the ponies called out for, her child would not be cast away into the shadows as she was.
 
“When you imprisoned me in the moon, time moved slower… I gave birth eventually, the spell that the elements of harmony cast on me allowed her to stay healthy thankfully. When I broke free I hid her away… The nightmare forced wanted me to finish what I had started… I was blinded by their hatred Celestia please! You must understand…” Celestia held her sister close “If I had known I wouldn’t have banished you… I can’t pretend to understand but I trust that you merely made a mistake, you were blinded by the lies of the nightmare forces and that is not your fault, nor is it your daughters fault.”
 
Nebula was raised by Celestia and Luna, although Luna looked after her more. Nebula was shielded from the truth when Sombra returned she was only a young filly she didn’t need to know him nor see what would happen.
 
Nebula unfortunately grew characteristics that resembled her father, her horn gained a red tip, the whites of her eyes became green, her made flowed with magic, just like sombra’s and she unfortunately proved to have a natural talent for shadow magic. Luna taught her about the dangers of that kind of magic, that she should avoid it if possible, that she should stick to conventional and harmonial magic. Nebula did, she tried her hardest. But her natural talent for shadow magic always reared its ugly head.
 
As she became a teenager Nebula learned to use the shadow magic in a helpful way, she started to join her mother on her nightly rounds, Luna using her nightmare moon form and Nebula using her shadow magic to hide until she was needed. Nebula became captain of the Luna guard and was told she would be defending Canterlot castle.
 
As she became an adult she maintained her position as captain of the luna guard but found she also shared her mother ability to dream walk, she was able to locate which ponies were having nightmares and she could help them to overcome their nightmares.
