After greeting each other good morning, you sit up to stretch, and find that you no longer feel any discomfort in your side. You take a moment to remove the used bandage, and realize that there is no trace left of your injury.
You discard Magic Bandage.
Moonflower: “Yay! Maybe we can celebrate Blazer’s recovery later, when we got more time.”
You gladly agree to that proposition. And while you feel healthier than ever, there is now a deep void in your stomach, yearning to be filled. The clock on the wall indicates five o’clock. Time to get rolling!
You and your friends slide out of bed, and gather your belongings, before making your way to the back of the train, and getting ready for the day.
On your way out of the wet car, you grab some breakfast, then head the open coach from yesterday, hoping to find Blossomforth there. As luck would have it, the pegasus is sitting in the very same spot. You greet the mare, and ask if you can join her once more.
Blossomforth: “Sure thing! So, how are we feeling this morning?”
You take a seat, and let her know that you are fully recovered, in no small part thanks to her.
Blossomforth: “Happy to hear it! Though if anypony deserves credit, it’s the unicorns who actually make these bandages.”
You nod, well aware of the countless times unicorn magic has helped you through your adventures — and in your everyday life, for that matter.
Apple Basket: “You can say that again. Just a few days outside of Equestria, and I couldn’t stop thinkin’ about all the magic things we got that I’ve been takin’ for granted.”
Moonflower: “Yuh uh!”
You eagerly begin to eat as you chat. The warm oatmeal, covered in a generous serving of mixed berries, makes for a tasty and energizing breakfast. You feel satiated…
While the sun begins its ascent in the clear morning sky, the Friendship Express steadily follows the railroad around mountains, through tunnels, and over bridges. Before long, it arrives in Canterlot, where it smoothly comes to a stop.
You give Train Key B3-4 to the car attendant.
You follow the dozens of ponies stepping out of the coach, and onto the boarding platform. Once outside, Blossomforth spreads her wings, catching in the crisp mountain air.
Blossomforth: “Ahhh, we’re finally here. Ponyville is just a short glide away, so I think I’ll go for a nice morning flight; stretch my wings a little. I’ll see you three around!”
Your party bids farewell to Blossomforth, and she takes off southward. You then turn to check the nearby schedules of trains bound for Hoofington. You read that one will depart at around seven o’clock, and another at noon.
