I wonder if this is based on the artists actually opinions? If so I would be very curious to hear the details because you can only get so traumatised before you start to become fascinated with hearing about other peoples I’m almost like a messed up connoisseur.
The working theory is that I am using the pain of others as a surrogate for my own pain thanks to my trauma basically making it impossible to get upset about my own problems but OTHER PEOPLES problems yeah I can actually FEEL emotions that way.
There’s actually a show that REALLY helps me to actually cry but then once the waterworks are open they don’t g=close for two weeks however after those two weeks I feel really refreshed so I watch that show once a year as a type of spring cleaning because if I watched it too much the effect would dull.
I mean yesterday someone close to me stepped over a very clear emotional boundary I had and undid 2 years of emotional recovery and the day before that my sisters newborn died but I felt literally nothing like I could feel myself start to begin to feel and my subconscious just automatically deadened my emotions, but people treat you weird when you don’t react to stuff so I got really good at pretending to feel stuff.
