A Chance Meeting
Cloudy sighed heavily as she wandered around the small village after finishing her evening shopping. The market runs were her favourite housewife duty. Don’t get her wrong she adores looking after her two little girls, provided they let her coddle them. But these were the only times she is allowed outside the farm grounds. Even in an arranged marriage she was bound by lock and key.
The lines at the market weren’t too long today and she finished her shopping fairly early. The sun had still yet to set and it would be a few hours to get back to the farm by train. A few more hours to herself couldn’t hurt. She’d just say that the lines were too long that she ended up missing the train. A valid reason that Igneous would surely not question. As much as he liked to be in charge even he knows he can’t control how fussy some shoppers are.
After wandering around she spotted a bar. It was a fairly new establishment built to attract more tourists to the area, and from the looks of it, it was doing pretty well. Cloudy hadn’t been allowed any alcohol since her wedding. Perhaps a quick cider, then she’ll be on her way.

Once she stepped through the door she finally saw the actual amount of customers. The room was semi-packed and the budding confidence Cloudy once had quickely fizzled. To avoid it going out completely, she quickely made her way to one of the empty stools by the bar. Once she sat down and caught her breath back, she realised that there was someone sitting right next to her. The first thing she noticed about them was that they were built like a mountain! Very tall and very muscular. A pegasus with big powerful wings on their back. Cloudy had to control herself not to reach out to see if they were as soft as she imagined. The muscles strong and defined were covered in a luscious pink coat. Cloudy had to wonder what kind of poor stallion had to live with such a feminine colour, but when she turned to look at their face she quickely realised that it wasn’t a stallion at all. It was a mare. A devilishly handsome mare.
Cloudy would never admit it out loud to anyone, especially to her family. But Cloudy had no attraction to stallions, at all. She could appreciate a sculpted physique and a sense of humour surely but never any further. Her mane was also brignt pink amd very wild. The tight coils held back by a straining hair tie showing off her face. A sculpted yet feminine face with bold piercings empasising her violet eyes.
“See something you like?”
It was only then when she heard a thick, silky foreign accent that Cloudy realised that she was, quite blatently, staring. A deep red blush went from her cheeks to her ears as sh swiftly turned away. The pink mountain mare chuckled.
“Aw, don’t be shy darlin’ I’m just teasin’ ya”. Cloudy didn’t want to show her her red face again.
“Sorry, my bad. Well, my name is Skye Dancer, but you are more than welcome to call me Skye”.
“Mm… I am Cloudy Quartz Pie”. As expected, she felt a strong yet gentle grip in her handshake. But what she didn’t expect was for Skye to lean down for a gentle hand kiss forcing the blush to come back at full force and a tingle in her hand. This bold, devilishly handsome flirt! Not even Igneous on his gentle days caused this much fuss!
“Well then, Ms. Cloudy Quartz Pie, tis a real pleasure to meet you”. Cloudy trusted herself no more to speak, only to stare.
Pleased with the speechless expression, Skye flagged down the bar tender to order.
“I’ll take a salt lick if you have any and…” She glanced at Cloudy, hands still together, “a cider for the lady. On my tab if you will”.
The bar tender nodded and got to work.
Cloudy looked at her in shock. But her shock turned to a smile when she got one to herself followed by a flirty wink.
Perhaps a few more hours couldn’t hurt.

This piece is a whole bunch of firsts for me ^^’ First detailed background, first proper anthro piece, blah, blah, blah. But hey, I am pretty happy with how this turned out! The hands and admittedly the legs were a pain, not gonna lie, but hey, that’s just something I can practice on. ;P
