Personality:
Flare is a peppy, bubbly little butterfly that loves meeting new ponies and tasking to them endlessly. She’s a smart cookie and likes to share what she’s learned with those who’ll listen for ten seconds. Despite her positive attitude she is socially innexperienced and is often shy for at least the first few minutes. She has a very strong sense if justice. She’ll accept a punishment if it’s deserved but will argue back if she feels it isn’t. Flare also has a very strong sense of loyalty. She can get attached easily, but will find it very hard to let go again.

Abilities:
Solar Flare is rather skilled in magic often achieving spells by simply ‘winging it’. She prefers using magic for the more mundane things than the more serious stuff. Her magical is very powerful but not fully controllable. She usually has a firm grasp on it, but her emotions dictate it more thanews her head does.

Talents:
Solar Flare’s talent was discovered on a dark stormy night during her (younger) youth. It was very dark, very loud and very scary. Tempest was away on business and Twilight was suffering from a deep nightmare. With no one else to calm herself down, Flare had to think of something herself. She willed herself a nightlight to help calm down, instead she made several little sparks fly around the room like fireflies. It helped calm her and her mother down.

History:
Solar Flare was the result of Twilight and Sunset’s brief relationship. Both were searching for love and they started to date. Due to some overly ‘curious’ science experiments, Twilight fell pregnant. Worried about Sunset’s reactions, Twilight began distancing herself. They thought it was best to end the relationship so they parted ways but remain to be good friends.

Flare grew up within Twilight’s castle whilst getting home-schooled. She disliked the common loneliness and often begged Twilight to let her go to the public school. Upset and believing Twilight was too embarrassed to let her be seen, she ran and hid deep within the castle. She stumbled upon the isolated tower of her older half-sister, Krystal Magic. Excited to have a new best friend, she managed to convince Twilight to teach them both together.

Not long after Tempest joined their little family, a great tragedy struck. Krystal had died from the leech-sickness she had been enduring, slowly but surely killing her. Flare denied her death so much that she went soon far as to subconsciously created an illusion of her deceased sister. The illusion is only visible to her and her family members. Not wanting her to sink into depression, they played along. This continued until Twilight announced that there would be a baby. Upset that Twilight would replace her sister, she stormed off and locked herself in the tower. That night Krystal’s ‘illuion’ appeared and confronted Flare about her true fears and feelings and finally enabling her to let go.

As the pregnancy continued, so did her healing thanks to her family. When her little sister was born, the spiritis for Krystal infused itself within her. She lives on in her. And Flare couldn’t be happier.

Notable Relationships:
- Twilight: As much as she loves her birth mother, Flare can’t help but sometimes feel like an embaressment at times. They have so much in common yet they also often clash. Flare feels like she’s too embarrassing to be publicly seen, Twilight just wants to protect her little girl. She won’t lose her like she lost her sister. If only they could tell each other that.

*- Sunset: *Flare adores her sire-mother and treasures the time they spend together. Like any Father, Sunset gives her more freedom, and ice cream. Sunset gave her Mr. Magic Rainbow Star Badger as a gift when she was born.

*- Tempest: *Flare wasn’t really sure about her new mom at the beginning, believing her to be rather intimidating. But once she offered to join the tea party, she was sold. Tempest is often the rock that holds Flare and Twilight’s relationship during the bad days. Not that she minds the extra cuddles. Tempest won’t admit that she loves Mr. Magic Rainbow Star Badger’s cookies.

- Krystal Magic: Krystal holds a dear place in Flare’s heart. She was her big sister and best friend. She didn’t care that she was silent or sick she still loved her. Still does. Flare still keeps the book of fairytales that she loved.

- Kindle Flower: Like Tempest, Flare wasn’t sure about the new baby. She thought that’s she was going to replace Krystal and denied many things. But over time, the Krystal within her helped heal Flare from her depression. From then on, Flare has sworn to be as good a big sister as Krystal was to her.

Others:

• Flare is scared if the dark. If someone isn’t with her she will use her horn assessment a nightlight.
• Flare took it upon herself to make sure that Krystal’s room was tidy. She cast a spell so that it would clean itself every night. Even she isn’t allowed to enter.
• Flare’s favourite hobby is to host tea parties with Mr. Magic Rainbow Star Badger’s famous cookies. You need a special invitation from Star Badger himself to attend.
• Flare’s favourite teatime is Jasmine tea and Mr. Badger’s secret recipe matcha cookies.
• Mr. Magic Rainbow Star Badger is a stuffed constellation Badger with a rainbow quiff.
