I’m pretty sure October 2 wasn’t the first mention of FiM on /co/. I remember seeing threads about it from when it was first announced; before there was an official title or logo.

I miss the show so much
Damn, this reminds me how of much I’m still annoyed by the fact that I didn’t go watch ponies when I first heard of them in February 2011. Instead, I lingered for over two more months and missed out all of the goodness of the early fandom.
