However, he was a scrawny little pony and he was assigned to ditch-digging duty. One day, when a volcano above his village erupted, the Helm were unable to evacuate the villagers. But Rockhoof started digging a trench to divert the lava. His determination somehow magically transformed him into a powerful stallion, as the strongest pony of all. Rockhoof completed the task, saving the village and finally joined the Might Helm.
