Also if you had a profile then this discussion could be in PMs, rather than in comments on an image - strictly speaking, giving people this kind of support or using comments as a kind of chat window like this is not something we normally do. You don’t have to have a profile, or an artist tag, but without those things we don’t have many options for talking to you or responding to your reports.

No, you don’t. A lot of artists also have anonymizes or “hidden” names. But without some way to identify your work, whether your identity is public or hidden, we do not have anyway to comply with copyright, and you won’t be able to file takedown requests.
 
There’s more information about this in our takedown requests document, but, in brief, if you want to keep taking images, we need some way of validating your identity as the artist.

There are, right now, 2,366,556 images on this site. We get something like 700 new images a day.
 
If you remove the tags, then people can’t find the image. It is lost in a sea of other images, and the search tool won’t find the image out of the 213,700 other “Fluttershy” images on the site.
 
Tagging things like “pony” or “transparent background” helps people find images. If it is obvious that something is in the image, then it should be tagged.
 
If you are the artist crating these, then it would also help if you would tag the images with your artist tag, and provide the correct source for the image. All of that kind of meta data dramatically helps with searching for, or filtering, images.

Yeah, i KNOW i removed the tags! I just don’t get what people want with “Hoof on cheek” and these tags. They can obviously see what the pic is containing. And they can just use the searchbelow anyways

8 hours ago you removed more than a dozen perfectly appropriate tags from this image. You’ve done that before, too, sometimes tag warring with people. That’s why the tags on this image are now locked.
 
Please stop removing appropriate tags from images, ok? Tags are how people find images on this site.

The reason it “didn’t work” is because you didn’t follow our takedown process. If you’d like images taken down in the future, please follow that process. Without it, you’re just a random anonymous user complaining about what appears to be someone else’s upload.
 
Also, please stop vandalizing the tags on your uploads, they are there to help people find (or hide) art.
