Flim and Flam…what can be said about them? They’re definitely charismatic, and they know how to both draw and capture a crowd with showmanship and clever wordplay. Unfortunately, they’d much rather use those talents to con ponies than do anything honest with them. Even when they gained a resort in Las Pegasus, they still used their old tricks to keep on raising money for expansions to it. They kept finding new ways to get under my skin, especially when they inconvenienced innocent ponies without a care in the world, were gleeful at the prospect of the Apples being kicked out of Ponyville, and tried to blackmail Twilight to ruin her image as the Princess of Friendship…
I don’t know what they got up to after the battle with the Terrible Trio, since even they joined Equestria to stop them. I’d like to believe they eventually did turn a bit more honest, but I can’t help but feel like they still haven’t shaken off their old bad habits. As such, this drawing here could take place either before or after the war for Equestria.
In any case, the two are at it again, this time trying to sell Pinkie a ‘miracle’ all-spice that can enhance the flavor of anything it’s added to. Given the simplicity of their Miracle Curative Tonic, this spice could very well just be cinnamon and black pepper. Problem is, the tonic proved effective on Granny Smith because it was a placebo. This spice won’t have the same effect for every pony, especially depending on what food it’s used for. That’s not Flim’s problem, nor Flam’s, cuz once it’s bought, it’s out of their hooves, and they’d just claim that it might be an acquired taste. Let’s just hope Applejack puts a stop to it before it’s too late…
