Wardrobe #1 - Arrival in the big city
The last of the boxes have arrived, a few more efforts and I can finally call this modest apartment in Manhattan’s artist district, my home. It’s still hard to realize that I, Velvet Sky, a 19 year old unicorn, have just left Ponytown, my childhood village, and that I’m about to discover the life of a city dweller in one of the biggest metropolis of Equestria.
Getting here was not an easy task, I had to spend a lot of energy, tears and blood to gather enough money to rent this apartment. But it’s worth it, because this is the only way I can hope to make a living out of my vocation and become known as a comedian. Of course, I am still far from realizing my dream but I am not giving up! I even found a full-time job in a small theater-café a few blocks from my apartment.
The theater is called The Singing Stallion and its director, Brown Hooves, is one of the most promising young artists of her generation. I’m sure that I’ll end up becoming famous sooner or later, although I’m only offered extra roles to begin with and they justify my salary by giving me all sorts of odd jobs. I’m a bit of a one-trick pony, I help the props people, the stage managers, the decorators, the waiters, the dishwashers, in short, everybody. But, far from demotivating me, all these small jobs make me get a little closer to my first goal of my career: getting a first role!
I feel pumped up, I want to jump around with joy, but I still have a lot of work to do and I’d better get back to it. Hold on tight Manehattan, a rising star has arrived and it’‘s not going to let you walk on its feet!

Hello to all!
As promised, here is the very first number of the velvets wardrobes reboot!
To begin, I want to thank those who supported me during the first ( pretty short ) edition of this series. But I couldn’t continue it for several reasons. The most obvious one is the evolution of my style which didn’t fit at all with my old drawings and I didn’t want to create a disharmony. Secondly, I had started in the middle of the velvet story in Manehattan and I wanted to start again in chronological order. Nevertheless the principle remains the same, each issue a new outfit, a little story to tell the evolution of Velvet’s life and a changing decor to reflect these changes.
The outfits you have already seen will obviously reappear in this series, but will be located at the appropriate times and perhaps with a slightly different description.
Finally, I’d like to point out that a new velvet wardrobe will be uploaded every Monday at 10am (gmt+2).
