Commissioned by the same private collector, who wanted a continuation. As to why the commissioner wanted to end with a before and after photo, they said “the ladies wanted something to remember each other by.”
Of all the Disney Princesses, Ariel seems to be the one most likely to fall victim to fanservice. Pop quiz: find one piece of official art where her cleavage isn’t shown. It’s impossible.
@SleepySteve
She’s no exhibitionist, strapless gown notwithstanding. Cindy’s at least got sleeves and isn’t as likely to suffer a “costume malfunction.”

Yeah- not sure whey they changed the colors. Changing her hair to bright yellow is even worse to me- I think it’s hard to get the exact silver of her dress right, but my goodness! just let the poor girl be a strawberry blonde!
I love how Cindy looks exactly like she did originally before Disney butchered her for the merch and DVD/Blu-ray releases. Anybody who’s watched the film on VHS and Laserdisc back in the day knows her gown is supposed to be silver. Why they changed it to blue (and her hair to yellow; they thankfully didn’t do that for the DVD) is something I’ll never understand.
Cinderella: “Ugh. I just did my hair yesterday.”
Tiana: “This was a wonderful tiara…”
Apple Bloom: “Eek! Too cold!”
Applejack: “Well, at least Rarity ain’t here.”
I love how the girls shrug off their gowns getting ruined. It’s as if they don’t let fancy clothing define themselves as people (plus they’re having fun and might as well make the best of it).
The first time Applejack wore that dress in FiM she looked like she was going to kill Rarity for making her wear it.
With all that character development she’s had since then, it’d make sense AJ would have no qualms wearing the dress (and liking it) nowadays. It helps when she’s surrounded by princesses who were from similar backgrounds.

The problem is, and has always been, a difference between the Disney and EG styles. The Disney Princesses have proportions much closer to humans, while the EG girls’ proportions are far less realistic as a matter of the show’s art style. Putting them together will always be a bit wonky if you can see their full bodies.
@Sapphire Star
what I mean is, not all people think the same as i do, as for instance; The one who asked you the commission doesn’t think the same, differentiating the size in his own point of view, but I know equestria girls like the Disney princess, are the same size because they are teenagers and others although they are not, they are the same anyway. Well, we all have a different opinion and point of view. Teens with adults are sometimes the same size. I’m also glad that you’re still doing your job for your fans.
well, the drawing is fine but the sizes of the characters, applejack with these princess girls tiana and cindirella are supposed to be the same but with applebloom since she’s a little child has the size of shanti, alicia and wendi. but XD it’s not bad to draw but I like it anyway. As the saying goes, “You don’t judge a book by its cover”, keep it up with your work.
True.

It is very poofy!

Rarity would have kittens if she saw the state of them XD
I can actually picture what they’re thinking:
Cinderella: “Ugh. I just did my hair yesterday.”
Tiana: “This was a wonderful tiara…”
Apple Bloom: “Eek! Too cold!”
Applejack: “Well, at least Rarity ain’t here.”

AJ and Applebloom are definitely not into fancy dresses enough to care XD

Anytime. Keep up the good work.
AJ seems to be the more laid-back of the two in some ways.
She does seem to contrast Rainbow Dash on that front, since RD’s still very much “no dresses, period!”
I still think she’s not a fan of dresses, but I agree with you that, per her character arc, she’s mellowed out about them.
With all that character development she’s had since then, it’d make sense AJ would have no qualms wearing the dress (and liking it) nowadays. It helps when she’s surrounded by princesses who were from similar backgrounds.
Thank you! I can’r take any credit for the dress designs, but I’m glad you like how they came out!

If I get more commissions like this one, then you shall!

Thanks. I’m glad you’ve changed your usually belligerent tone about their “sizes” _
Hope to see more like thiss
Apple Bloom is cute no matter what she does XD
