This is an analysis I felt like doing because I wanted to see the pros and cons of different ways of humanizing ponies.
The conclusion? There is no correct way to do it. Every way has its own pros and cons.

More accurately: there’s no wrong way to do it.
The unexpected answer to coloring humanised ponies, is to keep them as horses.
