Your party agrees to check on the supplier. Before you leave, you ask the tailor if he knows where you could exchange your Equestrian currency for bronze bits.
 
Tailor: “To my knowledge, since we do not trade with Equestria, your gold bits have no real value here. Aside from the metal they are made of, of course.
 
I do not know any buyers personally, though gemstones are not too uncommonly seen at the marketplace.”
 
You thank the tailor for the information, and after being given directions to a farm west of town, you get ready to set out.
 
Tailor: “Tell him that Platinum Twine sent you.”
 
You nod and bid farewell to Platinum Twine, then exit the shop, headed westward.
 
Following the tailor’s directions, you walk along cart tracks bordering fenced farmlands, far from the main roads depicted on your map. A chilly breeze occasionally sweeps the land, bereaving you of warmth every now and again.
 
You eventually arrive at a vast dirt field bestrewn with blue rocks, from which echoes the repeating sound of metal striking stone.
 
Guided by the sound, you find a stallion mining out in the fields who appears to match your given description of the provider. At your approach, he takes a break from his work, and rests a hoof on his pickaxe.
 
Farmer: “Let me guess! Someone’s precious ore delivery is running late.”
 
You introduce yourselves to the farmer, and tell him that you are here on behalf of Platinum Twine.
 
Farmer: “The name’s Glint, and unless you’re here to help, nopony’s getting ore anytime soon. Though that’s probably why he sent you here, isn’t it? Well, it’s about time!”
 
You ask about the situation.
 
Glint: “Earlier this week, the ore crates I stored in the house back there just up and vanished overnight. All eight of them!
 
As far as I know, nopony was outside of the town walls that night, so it couldn’t have been someone from the region. And the house is still standing — not even a broken window —, so it couldn’t have been wild beasts, either.
 
Whoever or whatever did it isn’t going to catch me looking for the crates myself; wouldn’t want to go missing, too! So there you have it.”
 
Apple Basket: “Uh, are the Order of Dawn looking into this?”
 
Glint: “The Order? Hah! I see you’re new here. Sure, they protect our lives, but our livelihoods? That’s up to us. Now, if you’re here to investigate, then I won’t get in your way. Just try and stay out of mine if you can.”
 
To the north is a storehouse, and a thick pine forest behind it.  
To the east and west are neighbouring farmlands.  
To the south is the road from which you came, and more farmlands on the other side.
