And I notice all the other dullards down there haven’t come up with a better explanation of why Rainbow Dash got suddenly weaker for 10 whole years and Twilight got a power source that is even less stable then the Alicorn Amulet. Weak responses all across the board.
You’ll have retro-princess (before alicornification), snap on wings (sold separately), growth princess (second alicornification), Human Princess (gotta push Equestria girls), and i’ll leave it at that.

dude. she never “stole rainbow dashes power” or whatever the FUCK you think happened. if she wasn’t special even before she had her cutie mark she wouldn’t have had a god damn princess as her baby sitter! celestia was grooming her from at the very least a very young child, probably from the time she heard about this little foal that wanted to be as powerful as celestia,(might I add that this was one that then decided to dedicate EVERY WAKING MOMENT to this cause!) and decided to train this kid that had such ambition to follow in her own footsteps and be her legacy, instead of ignoring her, and when she would eventually think she’s powerful enough, trying to usurp celestia’s throne, and either failing misserably, or even worse, succeeding!
tl;dr: if twilight “stole” her power from anypony it was celestia, and it was always freely given.
For someone who hasn’t done anything the rest of the group hasn’t done, and also endangered the town and its people with her magic on several occasions, she’s going to get some alienation being suddenly even more special then she already was, especially since all her raw magical ability she wasn’t born with, but got from Dash.
Recall that it took RD at least 10 years to increase her body’s energy to what it was back then when Twilight absorbed all that power she couldn’t control…which Twilight pointed out if it was her own unicorn power in the Pinkie sense episode…would be impossible, since magic only happens when you want it to if its your own.
Hell, Twilight still can’t control RD’s power even as adult. She’s set herself on fire and blown up her house twice. Who’s bright idea was it to give her a princess power up?
Oh that’s right, the person who had a PERMANENT OBSERVATION SPELL on Twilight for most HER ENTIRE LIFE, making the friendship letters pointless and making halfway Molestia level connotations if you consider Twilight to be immortal like Celestia now.
Twilight was originally intended to become an Alicorn when Celestia’s time was at her end. Now its just creepy upgrading and indulgement.
