Still focusing on Tailkicker, the tendrils continue their unrelenting assault. However, not only does the fighter avoid all of their six attacks, but she parries and counters one of them, dealing one damage back at the enemy.
 
Whirlpool: “Well, tentacles, we’ve had a good time, but I’m afraid we weren’t meant to be!”
 
Sea Swirl rolls a twenty, and Dawn Break lets out an exasperated sigh.
 
Whirlpool effortlessly casts a powerful spell. Lightning strikes one of the wounded tendrils, finishing it off, and jumps to the nine remaining foes nearby, leaving nothing behind but sizzling dust.
 
Whirlpool: “Hah! That takes care of them. Well fought, everyone!”
 
Opaline: “Wait, it’s not over yet.”
 
With the tendrils defeated, the Titan begins to charge up a powerful spell from the middle of the lake.
 
Tailkicker: “Quick, we gotta stop it!”
 
Opaline’s horn flashes brightly, and a burst of bubbling light heals Tailkicker for three health points.
 
Unable to reach her target with her weapon, Tailkicker holds up a hoof, and fires a bolt of lightning. It hits the Titan, shocking it for six damage and paralyzing it temporarily, interrupting its spell.
