Because when someone else adds a tag they have to save the tag, until then that tag isn’t visible. If you click edit tags before they saved it, it does not appear for you. When you save with one additional tag you are not making an update everything in that box is saved as the only tags.

Therefor any tags that were added after you click edit are deleted when you click save leaving only the list that was in front of you.

The hell? Why do the tag changes say I removed the “pajamas” tag, when what I really did was add the “changeling” tag?
