When Hasbro got Lauren Faust to work on G4–a property that had been her passion since childhood–they caught lightning in a bottle. That was evident when she left the show. G5 might be worthwhile, or not, but I think I am not interested.
 
I still come around here now and then, but you may notice I never even bothered to create an account. The people I know who got into G4 early, who told me about it, aren’t watching it any more, aren’t reading or writing horsewords any more.

I am hopeful that G5 will be amazing, and that I might like it even more than I like G4.  
But honestly, I’m gonna obssess over it for the next few years regardless of how good or bad it is, so I’m not the one who should be worried here XD

Looking at the fandom response on derpibooru and the other platforms it seems like he is not the only one. 4chan is not the whole fandom.

I’m hopeful that g5 will be unique, that there’ll be new mane characters, and a decent story, but I expect none of these.
