Hopscotch is a troubled girl.  
She’s a bit of a poser and tries to come off as cool and unbothered but she is in fact extremely insecure. Most people don’t like her because she’s a talentless brat who pretends she’s better than everyone. Her insecurities are huge but she’s not very self-aware so she never works on herself.
 
She also doesn’t have the best family life.  
Her father had an affair and married her stepmom Rainbow Dash. This caused her bio mom to pull out all support and run off.  
You’d think this would cause her to resent her father and RD but it did the opposite.  
She’s obsessed with her parents and does not like anyone else taking their attention away from her. While she’s not the most intelligent, she is a bit manipulative with RD and Dumbbell. Hops is part of the reason Pastel Sails rarely visits his mom RD. She bullies her little stepbrother constantly and unfortunately she’s fooled Dash into believing that coddling her is more important than Pastel’s needs.  
Honestly, her views on family are extremely toxic.
 
She does however manage to make and keep friendships somehow. Her core group knows she has issues and still try to bring out her better traits. When she’s not being a brat, she’s a lot of fun. Hops has a lot of energy and enjoys partying and having a good time.
 
Fun facts:  
-Hops has a HUGE crush on Zestar Blitz. The latter deeply dislikes her but Hops still tries to get her attention.  
-She regularly brags that one day she’ll join the Wonderbolts but has never competed in any flying competitions. She talks a lot of smack but rarely can deliver.  
-In Hops heart she knows she’s not a good flier. She’s sort of forgotten that her special talent is working with pyrotechnics.
